A Little Something About This Track

I loved this song from the very first time I heard it. It was twenty years ago, when I was brand new to the kirtan world. I was browsing through some cassettes and, without knowing which to choose, I picked up Bhakti Rasa by Agnideva Das and went to the check out. Listening back at home I found Radha Krishna Bol to be beautiful yet melancholy, ancient yet relevant, haunting yet soothing. 

Then, a few months back,  I found myself inspired to record it. 

Firstly, I turned the mridanga upside down and played the bottom end like an African djembe and then I added the top end to make a three-handed groove. With a bit of spacey electric piano, tanpura drones and flute I had the backing track done.

The song itself follows Gaura-Nitai 'wandering' around Nadia (West Bengal) inducing the people to chant (bol) the names of Radha and Krishna. For one who does so there is the assurance of no further misery in the land of maya and the promise of one's body shaking in ecstasy and tears of happiness pouring from the eyes. Queridos compañeros de escuela! me permito compartirles un audio y una historia: Después de un período de llamados para realizar esta ¨tarea¨ fueron las vacaciones del pasado diciembre las que sirvieron de escenario y motor energético para producir esta nueva versión del Moola Mantra, colocándome como canal para transmitir estos sonidos que espero sean de la ayuda de todos a la hora de sus meditaciones.

La parte mental se encargó de utilizar un Biómetro para medir el nivel energético de las tonalidades posibles a la hora de componerlo (12 en total) y la tonalidad "ganadora" fue (fíjense qué interesante) SI MAYOR. Esta tonalidad resultó entrar en la categoría energética de "estados de meditación" en el Biómetro, a la hora de medirla.
De manera que con esta guía de base comencé y sobre eso fueron surgiendo otras mediciones y otras consideraciones semi-teóricas para así dar apertura a ese canal  que todos tenemos y que con solo creer en él nos permite dejar entrar la luz dorada misma de la vida. 

El dueto mente-espíritu creó esta versión del Moola Mantra que les invito a descargar con todo mi corazón.

Bhagaván: Debes tener bien claro que yo nunca he afirmado ser Kalki. En los comienzos, cuando los Yagñas eran en Somamangalam (un lugar en el sur de India, donde los Yagñas eran dirigidos en las etapas iniciales del Dharma), un montón de gente comenzó a tener visiones, donde ellos Me vieron como el Kalki Avatar. Así, sobre las bases de estas visiones comenzaron a llamarme Kalki. La palabra Kalki es sólo un título dado a mí por la gente y yo acepto ese título....Por lo tanto sostenemos que los Avataras son lo más cercano que puedes estar de Dios, o como quieras llamarlo....Así, yo soy un Avatara espiritual. Las experiencias, milagros y gracia que la gente ha experimentado alrededor de la Tierra son prueba de esto. De mis milagros y gracia, uno puede comprender qué clase de Avatar soy yo. 

Mi objetivo es principalmente la Iluminación. Esta es mi área de especialización, aunque, también puedo satisfacer tus deseos y resolver tus problemas. "Mi visión y propósito es la Iluminación de la Humanidad". En ese sentido, Yo soy un Avatara, pero no el mitológico Kalki Avatara. No voy a aparecer montado en un caballo con una espada como dicen que él vendrá luego de un lakh (40.000 años).

Ijsbrand & Gert had always wanted to create balkan inspired music, and hence came the duo Stavroz. Beyond just sharing the same musical tastes, these two buddies bond over both being sound engineers (live for Ijs, studio for Gert), which makes them real "goldsmiths" behind each and every production (such can be seen in this short clip which presents their title 'The Ginning'). 
Their music is imprinted with original inspirations while keeping to a jazzy/burlesque influence, leaving little to be left displeased. The bridge, so it seems, borderlines between minimal and jazz-house.

The first title of the EP, 'The Ginning' is constructed around guitarist, Max Honckelinx. The track’s instrumental harmony is skilfully constructed by the duo as they borderline minimal and deep house.

The second original title of the EP, 'The Finishing' is merely a dialogue between a rhythmic stratospheric universe and the sax of Nathan Daems, well preserved from the first studio recording. The end result leaves us with 8 minutes of lyricism soaked in sophistication and technicality.

In regards to the remixes, Felkon, who has been presented several times before on the Délicieuse, takes on 'The Ginning' by including vocals which create a more dance-like ambiance. 
Britta Arnold, a legendary pioneer from Bar 25 and Katerholzig, worked on 'The Ginning' as well with Sascha Cawa. They delivered a version more obscure yet wickedly effective.

As for the remixes of 'The Finishing', Powel continues to captivate us while executing his deep and melancholic twists. He entirely redesigns the piece’s structure by retiring the "voice" of the sax. 
And then there’s our man, Viken Arman, who spins his version of 'The Finishing' by refiguring the rhythm pattern and adding a new dimension to the bass.
