Urbanomic is a publisher and arts organization based in the UK.  Our aims are: to act as an advocate for philosophical thinking as a creative practice, and for the continuing cultural importance of philosophy; to support research activities addressing crucial issues that do not fall under any one discipline or practice; to present to the public the results of that research, and an insight into the research process itself, through a variety of media; to engender interdisciplinary thinking and production.

Rhythmplex is an imprint for the work of drummer and percussionist Jon Mueller, exploring the broad effects of experience through various mediums.

In the vast, unpredictable theater of now, Mattin and Miguel Prado surrendered to the whims of the unconscious, that masterful improviser, seeking to conjure into being a future that, once distant, now beckoned with the inevitability of a forgotten prophecy slowly, inexorably coming to fruition.

As you can imagine we are under huge pressure at the moment and are working flat out to ensure Cafe OTO survives this. Cafe OTO opened in April 2008 with the aim of providing a home for creative new music that exists outside of the mainstream. It comprises one large cafe/performance space open during the day serving food and drink with an evening programme of live music almost seven nights a week. 

OTOROKU is part of OTOProjects - a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) that has been set up to manage the programme at Café Oto. Any profits from OTOROKU are put back into supporting what we do and will help us to continue programming the best musicians and performers from all over the world.

Gabriel Saloman is a multidisciplinary artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota working in sound, text, visual medium and socially collaborative forms. He has been composing and performing experimental music for almost two decades both individually and in a variety of collaborations. He is known for his work with Pete Swanson in the psychedelic free-noise group Yellow Swans. His previous projects include Chambers, a live dub collaboration with M Red (Lighta! Sound, Low Indigo), and Diadem with artist Aja Bond. 

Saloman's solo work explores noise and soundscape as a form of resistance and path of emancipation from an authoritarian social order. He works in a variety of mediums, moving through gallery installations, web projects, live performance, recorded music, and spatial intervention. He has regularly collaborated with contemporary dance artists and released work with labels such as Beacon Sound, Miasmah, and Shelter Press.
