Just Her's edit of 'Sterne' by Mintz carries a timeless, deep tech sound that is executed with subtlety. Gentle, drifting melodies and a gradually blooming progression gives it a consistent but beautifully hypnotic quality.

People get very excited when a new Robert Babicz production lands, and when the music sounds like this, its no wonder why...

Roberts first release on his own imprint for a while packs a mighty punch and ticks all of the boxes, so lets get to the music.

'Stimulate' is a beautiful melancholic slab of musical deepness, showing Roberts emotional side, and even packs a saxophone in there, giving the track a sultry feel. Tasty!

Next up is 'Unity Of Kissing' and pulls at the heartstrings with its impassioned heartfelt depth, while remaining a dance floor moment.

'Mindset' is a hypnotic workout with its subtleties bringing its strength. An elegant breakdown follows full of warmth.

The final original track is 'Seeking For The Horizon'. Analog deepness with mysterious layers is the way forward here. Giving the package a cool musical balance and twist.

Jerome Isma-Ae & Alastor remix 'Stimulate' and take us firml y to peak time melodic mayhem, as this punchy number works its magic!

And rounding off this fine release, another remix of 'Stimulate', this time Tvardovsky & Alex Kaspersky take us deep and deadly, with hypnotic overtones and cool growls, while cascading melodics integrate superbly.

When you’ve already asked an artist six times for an EP, you just know there’s something special about his music. We’re glad to welcome you once again into the world of Remcord.

With his Sura EP the French producer takes the concept of ‘less is more’ to a whole new level. His minimalistic approach on electronic music translates itself into three immersive melodic house tracks.  With the title- and opening track ‘Sura’ Remcord raises the bar in terms of psychedelic atmospheres. ‘Jalo’ on the other hand is the kind of track that hypnotizes a whole dancefloor with its warm and emotional synth chords. Last but not least ‘Tera’ is characterized by the endless arpeggio that floats through the extremely well crafted musical composition.

With this EP Remcord proves again why he’s one of the most promising French producers out there at the moment!

Sitting perfectly within this excellent package is the Boss Axis Remix of the mighty ‘Spheksophobia’. The original version showcased Paul’s trademark attention to detail, with layer upon layer of intricate sounds and dubbed out FX evolving into a totally engaging, deeply monstrous groove, and here the German duo, dubbed “ministers of melody”, inject some of their renowned synth-heavy, euphoric fireworks into the proceedings with spectacular results.

Why do we tell stories?

We breathe, we eat, we sleep. We seek connection. These are our basic human needs.

But there is one more need we all share, and it centres on stories. All across the world, stories are being recounted everywhere, in every imaginable way, at any given time. For telling stories is at the very essence of what it is to be human.

The universe of stories can be broken down into seven basic plots which underlie all stories ever told. Recognising these patterns is the gateway to unravelling the universal symbolic language from which all storytelling is spun.

With Voyage & Return, Chapter 24 returns with seven tracks collected from artists across the world to bring these themes to life. 

This broad-ranging edition of the series spans storytelling electronica from Peruvian Luis Leon, while NO GRAVITY and Olivier Weiter offer two variations on the broken beat theme. Meanwhile, label newcomers Yacine Dessouki & Alani make their own contribution with the organic house of the powerful opening track. 

Elsewhere big dancefloor cuts are offered by QUARTZ and Several Definitions, before deft emotional composition from Christopher Ivor brings the compilation to a clean and satisfying close.

They say that there are only seven basic plots but a thousand different stories. 

And so, as the storyteller utters that age-old, magical phrase "Once upon a time...", let yourself be carried away…

'Explore The Dark Side' is a collection of previously unreleased versions- and remixes from Xenia Beliayeva's well received 'Riss' artist album which saw the light of day earlier this year.

Brand new remixes by Black Asteroid, Paul Hazendonk, Christian Bachmann and Architect, extended vocal- and instrumental mixes of the iconic 'Reihe5' song and the original of 'Noir', one of the highlights of the album which wasn't released as a single before and we feel deserves some extra attention.

Born and raised in Halle/Saale, DJ and producer Ron Flatter as the first Hive Audio release for 2k19 is the „Opsis EP“, a three track piece brought to us by a man who's been around for more than 15 years now. With two albums on Pour La Vie Records and countless singles on imprints like Nitegrooves, Katermukke, Traum Schallplatten and many others under his belt it's pretty obvious that you've been dancing to some of his tunes in the past and so you will to his latest musical creations.

Opening with „Phanta“ we see Ron Flatter provide a deep, well hypnotic take on TechHouse leading into overwhelming waves of panoramic joy implied by carefully arranged, touching string arrangements, a large scale breakdown and dramaturgy that clearly is schooled by Classical arrangements and harmonic interplays despite being relatively stripped down.

The follow up is „Sweetwater“, a tune going into a similar, yet different territory whilst meandering in between deep TechHouse and latenight (Neo)Trance, once again bringing in big string sections, this time alongside a lively, tripped out motor city vibe and a distinct main motif for a mental takeoff in peak time situations.

Finally the title track „Opsis“ indulges in warm, comfy and all embracing melancholia based on beautiful analogue bassline modulations, carefully twisted wobbles and a tender, caressing vibe for colourful sunsets on the dancefloor, best experienced alongside a loved one. Sweetness.
