Qilin's artistic journey began in Peoria, Illinois, where he was born, and continued in Canton, Illinois, where he was raised. Now based in Denver, Colorado, Qilin brings 16 years of experience in the bass music world. His passion for the genre ignited at 16 when he started DJing beats. 
This passion evolved into production at 21. Deeply influenced by the original sounds of dubstep, dub, roots, and hip-hop, Qilin curates a unique sound that is showcased in his work.

His style ranges from chilled, old school hip-hop influences across UK-bass tracks to sub-loaded forward-thinking club bangers - yet never forgetting the gothic, industrial roots that shaped his initial foray into music.
