Born in 1982 and inspired since the early 90ies by synthetic music, fascinated by the dance and rave artists of the era and their innovative sounds, Nachtaktiv aka Lukas Süess always wanted to create his own music, although he started off not quite understanding the difference between DJing and producing. 1998 he made his first attempts on simple home-use music software and chopped up and rearranged loops and samples to first tracks.
Wether at legendary parties at the Stufenbau, in the Rohstofflager, on the Gugelmann Areal or in the Hallenstadion, at jungle or house parties or a goa party in the middle of the woods; he gathered impressions and influences any- and everywhere and tries to this day to reflect them in his music. 2002 he moved to reason software and his first midi keyboard before switching to cubase. After that the production area got a bit quiet as equipment and facilities - and therefore also the motivation - were missing.  2006 this changed promptly with the foundation of Elektrostubete with Jon Donson and Baroz and the creation of their very own studio shortly after.
Since then he is found there more often than at home, struck by production fever! 2008 Nachtaktiv had his first digital release and two years later first remix requests poured in. Mid 2011, after 1.5 years of preparation, he and Jon Donson presented their first liveact and had a couple of good gigs at different venues and festivals like Chocolate Festival, Supermarket, Frieda's Büxe, FriSon, Dachstock, Via Felsenau, Gaskessel, Kapitel and many more... After that, he had several releases on different labels and now he is playing his own livesets as Nachtaktiv.

Based in Berlin but originally from Italy, Soul Button has undoubtedly made a distinctive mark on the Melodic Techno scene, starting his personal project in 2012 along with the launch of his label and brand, Steyoyoke Recordings. As the inventor and trademark owner of the Ethereal Techno subgenre, his artist name, Soul Button, reflects a strong conceptual identity.

Soul Button transformed his label into a real brand, first establishing the two sub-labels Steyoyoke Black and Inner Symphony, and later developing his own clothing brand, SYYK Berlin, as well as his own publishing company, SYYK Publishing. Well known in the electronic music scene as one of the most skilled DJs and producers, for his mental and soulful sets and tracks, Soul Button has affirmed his international exposure.

His career took off with many successful singles like "Swift Minds" and "Wraith", the latter featuring acclaimed American vocalist Terry Grant. Tracks like "Reverie" and "Metamorphosis" were a great anticipation of his first album, released in December 2019, "Phantom Existence", a 13-original track album that marked a significant moment in his career, followed by a remix edition in April 2020.

Recent years have seen continued success with the release of the "Pantheon" EP alongside Monarke, and singles such as "God Save The Rave", "Crescendo", "Merine", "Infinitude", and "Dalliance", capturing the attention of techno enthusiasts worldwide. His latest work includes "Walking Straight Up", a single that highlights his ascent in 2023, together with the collection, "Dual Realms of Sound", which was a testament to Soul Button's evolving sound and his ability to capture the duality of rhythm and melody, further solidifying his place in the techno realm. 2024 sees his second official album "Master Minds", which will be launched in April 2024, with preceding singles "Lumina" and "Tartribe".

Having cemented himself firmly in the scene, Soul Button maintains focus on the continuous growth and development of his labels as well as his own personal career. The upcoming years will surely be busy with new tours and projects on the horizon.
