Somethings are just done better when they are done together and the same can be said about Soul Button and Sasch’s latest collaborative work ‘Unfold’. The two Steyoyoke men have come together to show just how passionate they are about producing music that is rich with feeling and emotion. Featuring two original tracks from the pair and two remixes from Antonio Olivieri and Anturage, ‘Unfold’ is belonging to those who really appreciate pure house music.

Starting things off is the heartfelt ‘Little People’, a deep and reflective track that meanders its way through gentle pad work and a lush vocal sample that echoes across a steady 4X4 beat. A rousing accapella and shooting synths collide with surprising wind chime sounds to create a beautifully delicate track to set the tone.

Russian duo Anturage make room for a more driven remix of ‘Little People’, as they implement a strong kick drum that puts power behind teasing chord lines. Still holding onto that lush vocal sample, Anturages remix finds a heavy bassline against the delicate pad work from the original to make for an engaging contrast.

Title track ‘Unfold’ is an uplifting affair that evokes warm feelings of partying to 90’s house in the sun. Brought to life by shimmering synths that race across the board and quirky samples that tease and provoke, ‘Unfold’ is a dreamy escape from reality with so much to give.

Antonio Olivieri dips his toes cautiously into this remix of title track ‘Unfold’ with a melancholic start that builds with patience. The finished piece is an eccentric and ever surprising remix with a strong dubby bassline. Feathered synth work falls like raindrops to put a final touch to this standout EP.

In the blink of an eye Steyoyoke finds itself approaching its second birthday. A lot has changed since the label first emerged on the scene and tremendous strides have been taken in becoming a label to reckoned with on the scene. In mark of such efforts the label has put together its second Anniversary EP, featuring four remixes from four top artists on some of the labels highlights of the last year.

All tracks will be available on vinyl from the 14th of February and in digital on the 10th of March with the additional Pete Oak Dub Remix of ‘Play Again’. The 14th of March will see the label hitting Ritter Butzke to celebrate their second birthday coinciding with the release of the Anniversary EP. All featuring artists will be playing their part in showing that there is still plenty more to come from Steyoyoke.

More than just a release platform, labels are indispensable partners in artists’ careers as the one to curate only the best music, accompany it with according designs, as well as bringing in new marketing ideas or even music videos. Based in Berlin but originally from Italy, Soul Button has undoubtedly made a distinctive mark on the Melodic Techno scene, starting his personal project in 2012 along with the launch of his label and brand, Steyoyoke Recordings. As the inventor and trademark owner of the Ethereal Techno subgenre, his artist name, Soul Button, reflects a strong conceptual identity.

Soul Button transformed his label into a real brand, first establishing the two sub-labels Steyoyoke Black and Inner Symphony, and later developing his own clothing brand, SYYK Berlin, as well as his own publishing company, SYYK Publishing. Well known in the electronic music scene as one of the most skilled DJs and producers, for his mental and soulful sets and tracks, Soul Button has affirmed his international exposure.

His career took off with many successful singles like "Swift Minds" and "Wraith", the latter featuring acclaimed American vocalist Terry Grant. Tracks like "Reverie" and "Metamorphosis" were a great anticipation of his first album, released in December 2019, "Phantom Existence", a 13-original track album that marked a significant moment in his career, followed by a remix edition in April 2020.

Recent years have seen continued success with the release of the "Pantheon" EP alongside Monarke, and singles such as "God Save The Rave", "Crescendo", "Merine", "Infinitude", and "Dalliance", capturing the attention of techno enthusiasts worldwide. His latest work includes "Walking Straight Up", a single that highlights his ascent in 2023, together with the collection, "Dual Realms of Sound", which was a testament to Soul Button's evolving sound and his ability to capture the duality of rhythm and melody, further solidifying his place in the techno realm. 2024 sees his second official album "Master Minds", which will be launched in April 2024, with preceding singles "Lumina" and "Tartribe".

Having cemented himself firmly in the scene, Soul Button maintains focus on the continuous growth and development of his labels as well as his own personal career. The upcoming years will surely be busy with new tours and projects on the horizon.
