Next up on Liquid V we're excited to bring you a special project from Simple Souls. The ‘A Trip To Sardinia EP’ is a four track body of work that pays homage to a festival close to the heart of both them as Simple Souls and us as V Recordings, Sun & Bass.

The EP is as rich with features as it is soul, the first track sees Sofi Mari lay down her signature tone over the jazzy ‘Leaving Home’, and that trend continues with Flotation doing his thing on ‘Basslines In The Sun’, and the voice of hall-of-famer GQ graces ‘That Moment’. The EP is then tied to an end with ‘Going Back’, something we all can’t wait to do.

With a rich history in D&B of incorporating live musicians into the soulful end of this electronic genre, Simple Souls follow in the footsteps of giants like Roni Size & Reprazent, Peshay, London Elektricity, Dr Meaker and more. To help celebrate this monumental accomplishment, a 10 Year Anniversary Digital Album has been put together, which features some of the amazing artists that have graced the imprint roster over the years.  The album includes songs from some of the scene’s most influential artists such as Madcap, Paul SG, Blade, Scott Allen, FX909, mSdoS, Anthony Kasper, Soul Connection, Carter, and many more.  With this collection of talented artists, the release is destined to be an instant classic.  If you like Volume 1 of the release, be ready for Volume 2, which will be available in one month.  Volume 2 will feature another talented bunch of artists including Furney, Decon, Dramatic, and many others.

Drawing ever-closer to the release date of the full Life In Remixes project, New Yorks very own T.R.A.C. offers us the final single before the album lands.

The original featuring Submorphics gets the Carlito & Addiction lick, as they roll out the title track from the album in a similar essence to their recent releases on Liquid V. With the vocal taking centre stage this mix rolls out demonstrating perfectly how T.R.A.C. has managed to fuse his US Hip Hop roots with D&B.
