Upcoming Dutch producer djah continues his run of releases in 2017 with the Majority EP via Celsius Recordings. Each of the four profound yet elevating tracks on the release brings a particularly distinctive sentiment all tied together with something very unique. MC Tali, real name Natalia Sheppard, is a New Zealand based drum and bass artist/performer. Tali prefers to go by the name "Tali" when singing and songwriting but preferring to use MC whenever she is hosting an event. 

Artists from the likes of Satl, Silence Groove, Truth, Anthony Kasper, The Vanguard Project and many more worked together with her to make this album happen as well as vocalists from the likes of DRS, Degs and Blake. This 11 track album will be available on CD and Digital in November 2018.

In 2018 Hospital Records flew the drum & bass family to the shores of Tisno for a five day getaway in the glorious Croatian sunshine. Ahead of the next ultimate drum & bass holiday, Hospital Records proudly present the ‘Hospitality On The Beach 2019’ compilation. Over 25 brand new tracks from the likes of Flava D, Grafix, Kyrist, Kings Of The Rollers, DJ Marky, Logistics, A.Fruit and many more, will provide the official soundtrack of the summer.

Bassline and UKG royalty Flava D brings her second official D+B release, ‘Human Trumpet’ following the Annie Mac favourite ‘Return To Me’. Her latest venture into 174 stylings is another slick display of effortless smoothness calling back to that classic Hospital loungecore sound.

Grafix continues his new solo mission with the dark, techy club banger, ‘Radiance’. Expect high octane tech with shimmering synths and skewed vocals to boot. Plus Cambridge brothers Nu:Tone and Logistics band together for a glorious summer dose of Nu:Logic magic on their remix of Netsky’s ‘Iron Heart’.

With prime selections from the likes of Metrik, Sweetpea, Kasra, S.P.Y, Chris Inperspective, Makoto, Bou and more, this mixed CD and digital release is best served loud, with crisp refreshing beverages, a beaming sun and sand between the toes.

Drum & bass is often reassuringly structured and formulaic; tracks made up of beats, bars and phrases. These units of musical measure provide the foundations for MCs and vocalists alike to lay their souls on the line. Jaye ‘Siege’ Balmer has spent his life in the 16 and returns to Soulvent with another 4 track EP, underpinned by some stellar production, that further brandishes the hype-man’s ability to get lyrical.

Opening with a slew of varying hi-hats, ‘Drawn To Leave’ is an emotive tune that sees Siege reflect on his past in an introspective fashion. Calming keys and warm low end provide the perfect setting for these expressive musings. 

‘Plastic People’ is a weighty club belter with punchy drums and simmering, twinkling synths. While the lyrics explore the idea that not everyone you meet is as they appear, Siege’s carefully crafted bars also complement the swelling bassline with the meticulous, ready-for-anything approach of a certain well seasoned international spy. 

‘Wide Open’s rousing intro has all the hallmarks of a euphoric dancefloor banger and the  infectious vocal hook will no doubt have you singing along within a few listens. A welcome melodic change of pace for the Bristolian bar slinger but an equally successful transition. 

Last up, ‘Template’ colours outside the lines providing the grittier, tearout element of the EP. Smatterings of vocal intersperse the glitchy, pulsing soundscape on offer, producing a satisfying and hypnotic final product.

Siege MC - Wide Open

Intelligent jungle-inspired track at the time of its inception on the scene. Fully loaded with tammorra drum samples, tango riffs and evolving progressive synths, this track floats into a deep bassline cloud and runs like a high-speed train punctuated by a collection of chopped fireworks recorded during 1996 New Year's Eve in Naples.
