After rare apparitions on compilations, sound designer Victor Morello aka @zerocrossingpoint brings to light his very first full length release. "Iteration of the Self" gathers 8 tracks created on a 4 years interval and based on countless reworks and adjustments, mirroring a dense period of self transformation for the producer. Inspired by Ambient, Musique Concrete, Film Score, Club and Metal, Zero Crossing Point delivers a stunning piece of hybrid electronics, sometimes extreme, sometimes uplifting and cinematic.

Use and abuse of home made synthesised sounds and personal field recordings create an uncommon universe in which reverb, granular synthesis, distortion and resonators pave the way for an astonishing sense of narration. Drawing inspiration from nature observations, bizarre movies, books and video games, the Grenoble-based producer built a wonderful piece transcribing strong unsayable emotions and exploring the concept of iteration.

"The relationship of Alley Catss (aka Máté Janky) and EXILES dates back to the very beginning of the label and includes numerous joint efforts and memorable collaborations. He kicked off the first compilation album (EX01) of the label in 2017, contributed several tracks to various VA albums throughout the years, plus he co-organized events and mixes with EXILES, bringing forth artists from his own label too (Daddypower Records). It was just about time to finally have the first full-length Alley Catss release landing in the catalog, presenting seven ethereal tracks, each bearing Janky’s unique voice and dedicated vision for composition and sound design.

Vernacular Cortex Music is a sharp and focused sonic journey in 30 minutes, representing both hard-hitting, glitched beats and icy digitalia as well as fantasy-oriented, dreamlike scenarios. Stepping off the grid and exploring uncharted territories, the first three tracks (st_x, β and β<) share an attitude of overdriven madness, firing up kickdrums, distorted screams and rumbling bass. As the album progresses to Εσχ, the pieces of sound introduced in the first half of the album become even more scattered with more space to breathe, which then slowly fade into a coherent sonic sphere of echoes, mechanic angst and rusted, suffocating dread.

The latter half of Vernacular Cortex Music is a much more sensitive, careful and tender take that bears the stains of stress and uncertainty (_yg), yet shows a way to a future that promises care, joy and an idea of sanity. Like going back to sleep after waking up from a nightmare, +C takes us to a gentle world of sweet dreams, full of virtual harpsichords and iconic organ basses. Finishing up the album, _int is a beatless, waving pulsation with soft rumbles, mellow sighs and bubbling reverberations, slowly closing up Alley Catss’ long-awaited debut on EXILES." - Nemerov

Открывает её совершенно оторванная от реальности запись сета диджей-сета Kalione, которую мы услышали на февральской вечеринке CaravanClaat в закрывшемся питерском клубе Ugly. 
В ту ночь селекция Kalione из weird байле и металлического реггетона уничтожили танцпол. Мы посчитали, что вы обязаны услышать его.

Как продюсер Kalione работает с new wave club (post & hyper pop music), но в её треках также слышны отсылки к эмбиенту, гитарному дрону, деконстрактед клабу и софт-кору, пронизанные северными ветрами утерянной Вальхаллы. На прошлой неделе у неё вышла дебютная EP Severnye Zemly, которую мы так же рекомендуем вам послушать.

Following the success of 10 Years of Passarella Records: Volume 1, Passarella Records, the independent label founded by Danny Passarella, continues its 10th anniversary celebrations (2015–2025) with Volume 2 — another deep dive into the label’s rich back catalogue.

Since its inception, Passarella Records has built a reputation for fearless techno, electronic experimentation, and bold, genre-defying collaborations. Volume 2 continues this journey, presenting 10 more tracks that capture key moments from the past decade.

The compilation once again highlights Danny Passarella’s central role as producer and collaborator, featuring works alongside Perc, Oliver Ho, Samantha Togni, D’Marc Cantu, and Mitch Marcus, as well as material from Danny’s side project, Kempes.

Expanding on the first volume, 10 Years of Passarella Records: Volume 2 reflects the label’s continued evolution — from industrial grit and hypnotic rhythm to emotive, forward-thinking electronics — reaffirming Danny Passarella’s vision at the heart of the imprint.

Speaking on the release, Danny Passarella says:
