A multifaceted artist, who over his career has traversed between singer-songwriter, hit producer, DJ and curator, Ben Westbeech now debuts on Glitterbox Recordings with a fully realised and fresh artistic vision. From the release of his mature debut album Welcome to the Best Years of Your Life for Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label, to his chart-topping club records as Breach, and work as The Vision on Defected, his latest work sees Ben step back from his frontman role to spotlight new vocal talent. Born out of a series of sessions at Defected’s London studios, this striking label debut ‘Times Are Changing’ is a manifestation of Ben’s long-held career reputation as a magnet for talent, as RAHH’s flawless vocal and the considered songwriting bewitches listeners. Co-produced by the all-star trio of Luke Solomon, Honey Dijon and Chris Penny, with a combination of jazzy bass, journey-like arrangement and additional vocals from inimitable Detroit trio Dames Brown, the uplifting and anthemic qualities of ‘Times Are Changing’ are undeniable. And this is just the start for Ben Westbeech and Glitterbox.

Soul Avengerz are no newcomers to the industry, being an integral part of the London house scene for over 30 years now. 


In today’s climate most artists carve out a production profile before proving themselves as DJ’s. It is this that often leads to most artists’ productions being more dance floor orientated the more experienced they become, as they gain that all important first hand knowledge of what it takes to rock a packed dance floor. As DJ’s first and foremost, Paul and Wayne already had intimate knowledge of what worked in the main rooms up and down the country, so it was a simple case of applying this knowledge to their production work, and it is this that has led to their immediate rise to fame.

House music has come to attract all manner of less than complimentary connotations as the scene has grown up, but at its core the term still implies crowd pleasing main room music..
