A pair of Poppups hove into view.

K: "Huh?"
K: "Wait, what are you doin-"

Someone dramatically blasts the Poppups.

K: "..."
K: "B-Berdly??"

B: "Why greetings, my damsel in distress!"
B: "The knight in shining armor has arrived to set you free!!"

K: "(Did he just freaking say I'm a "damsel in distress"??)
K: "Uh, no thanks, I'm staying here."

B: "Huh, what's the matter, Kris?"
B: "Don't you want to get out of here?"

K: "It's not that, idiot."
K: "It's just..."
K: "First of all, I asked to stay here, and the boss was kind enough to set up my own room... for some reason."
K: "But hey, I'm not complaining. I like it here, this is ideally how I want my room to look like."
K: "You can say it's unnerving, but."
K: "The atmosphere all-around suits my style."
K "..."
K: "Look, I'm just tired of running away, okay?"

B: "..."
B: "Hey, I understand, alright?"
B: "I really do, and frankly, I'm not going to judge you for that."
B: "I mean, look, I admire how peculiarly red the sky is, and I'm all for it!"
B: "It almost feels like... everything is a dream."

K: "Heh, yeah, that's true."
K: "Well, maybe I AM in a dream, somehow very lucid."
K: "I only remember falling asleep at the café, and the next thing I know, I ended up here." 
K: "And then... you're here, in some way you made an effort to save me?"
K: "Honestly, I don't think I'll ever forget about this part..."

B: "Huh???"

K: "Let's be real."
K: "This part is just stupidly funny and makes no sense at all!"
K: "Like, this is definitely not what YOU would do."
K: "Berdly is a little too much of a dumbhead to even do something like that, hahaha!"
K: "He's just so selfish and rude! No wonder why people keep looking down at him."

B: "(Wow, that was coarsely not bargained for.)"
B: "(I just regretted bursting in to save your skin!)"
B: "(Just you watch after we all get out of here!!)"

B: "So..."
B: "I'm guessing you just wanted to get some good rest, huh."

K: "Yeah, I need to take a breather for once."
K: "Well..."
K: "I'm going to be really honest here."
K: "I really didn't expect you to accompany me here, out of everyone else involved."

B: "How so?"

K: "Like I said earlier, you're not the type of person who'd care for anyone else, but yourself."
K: "But then again, this is just a dream."
K: "It's like, I'm projecting it all over again."
K: "But it just never comes true, you know?"

B: "Wait, does that imply that you've... often dreamed about me, like THIS???"(K: Crap, I'm dead.)

K: "Well that was quite the talk!!"
K: "I best wake up!"

B: "W-what?? I can't do that!!"

In this take, Berdly assumes Susie's position. Instead of being a smartass like he was in Deltarune, he doesn't care about being intelligent nor trying hard to look smart anymore. In fact, he's more bitter and sour about it due to a societal pressure. This all happened because he never won the spelling bee contest as Dess never went missing at that time. As a result, he never gained praise and recognition which led up to what he is right now. Anyway, thanks to RavenJess27 for writing Berdly's dialogues and HyperFlowey for making the base melody!

SoulBlast is an AU made by TerraSaviorX and Alternimo. It is a unique roleswap AU (in terms of the swaps themselves). It is built around the main heroes swapping with the secret bosses. As such, there will be three entirely original chapters (3, 4, and 5) differing from Deltarune’s greatly.

And basically, SOULBLAST: Hall of Heroes are songs made by the people who needed to pass a trial before being allowed onto the SoulBlast music team. We’re uploading ALL trial songs on here, even the ones for people who unfortunately didn’t pass it, so we hope you look forward to them!
