So one evening about three years ago at my favorite watering hole, which has a dance floor (and a stage for the band of course), I noticed this lady was tearing up the dance floor. Guy after guy kept asking her to dance, but she just brushed 'em off one by one. Some of them tried multiple times, but nope, she just kept at it. Feeling amused, I grabbed a few cocktail napkins, borrowed a pen from the bartender, and wrote these lyrics right there, then went home and worked on the song. 

A lot of it, of course, is made up as I just "imagined" what was said, etc., but it made for an interesting song I suppose.

Well, she was a good dancer from what I could see. I think all those guys agreed. Maybe not later but at the moment, yeah.
