Ultra rare soultune by Psychodelic Frankie released on the Hi-Speed Records label. Certainly one of the greatest and unknown soul gems - the original single was last sold for 1900 € on Discogs.

His real name was Frank Snowden and he was from Norristown (Pennsylvania). He released a few songs and was also active as a songwriter. He passed away in August 2020.

Mansour - Love And Happiness (SoulBrigada Edit)

The rare Afro-Latin Funkjoint "African Fever" by the Italian duo "The Tropicals" (Giancarlo Barigozzi and Oscar Rocchi) was released as a 7inch single in 1972. 

The rework is a collaboration between Dedy Dread (Lisbon) and SoulBrigada, which was already produced back in 2016 in Zurich | Switzerland. After a few years of maturation it's finally time to release this one. Enjoy it!

Although there's electronic music everywhere, Berlin is a real digger paradise for music any couleur.

He delivers a great 60 minutes 7inch vinyl only mix with his favourite tunes. In addition to his work as dj, producer and label head the symphatic greek is also known for his exquisite collection of funky 45s from south america and beyond.

Starting things off we have Runnin' Out, a mid-tempo memphis horn-led beauty of a track originally out in 1968. SoulBrigada take the original, toughen up the bottom end, add in kicks, claps and percussion and the odd filter, speed things up a tad and lengthen the track by a couple of minutes getting the most out of Mable John's effortless and gargantuan diva-esque vocal delivery...

On the flip we have another soulful treat with a killer rare groove cut from 1971. Originally recorded by Lee Sain (and arranged by Charles Miller) SoulBrigada extend the intro, add in drums, samples and effects all adding to a truly infectious groove and vocal that will have you screaming out for more...

SoulBrigada pres. The Soul Of Reggae Vol. 1

As part of a DJ tour through Greece in spring 2018, Alex SoulBrigada (Matasuna Rec.) also found some time for digging for records in Athens. With the help of the good friend Palov (Spang Rec.) he discovered the right spot for fantastic Greek music on vinyl. 
The result of this could be heard on this mixtape: rare groove, funk, soul and beat music from the Greek 60s and 70s. All original 7inch singles - no reissues or compilations were used. Follow us on this funky trip through a great sound cosmos.

SoulBrigada is back with a new joint, serving two edits of classic funk & soul tunes on a tasty funky 45. Two essential killer cuts not to be missed!

The soul hit "Do Your Thang" on the A-side was released by a vocal duo from Florida in the mid seventies. The edit extends the original to the right length and new rhythm and percussion parts give the song the missing power.

"Grab Your Thang" on the flipside, is a 1965 killer funk tune from Memphis, which will make every dance floor burn with mad breakbeat, new arrangement and additional samples.

After their brilliant debut on Resense, SoulBrigada returns with two new cuts. Following the proven formula, two classic Funk & Soul joints get the SoulBrigada treatment to fire up the dancefloors again.

'Help' is a Northern Soul gem from the midwest - from 1969. The raw & funky sound of the song follows with great perfection a JB style, which is complemented by the sweet soul voice of the singer. The SoulBrigada-Edit focuses even more on the percussive side of the song and the extension provides a real dancefloor filler.

'Love U Baby' is a great Soultune, which was also released in 1969 by a vocal duo from the southwest of the USA. The song stands out because of its funkiness and the great interaction of the two singers. The rework provides the right dose of funk with additional drums, repetitive editing and expansion.

Wanderley Cardoso - Sim é melhor (SoulBrigada Edit)

SoulBrigada was founded in 2009 by the german artists & musicians Alex D. and Fabio V. With this project they want to pull down stereotyped thinking and musical barriers and present a wide range of various music. As the name SoulBrigada associates Soulmusic is obligatory for them but they’re not limited to this genre – the main point is the SOUL in the music. Moving between Beats & Breaks, Global Grooves, Electronica, Disco & Rare Groove, the listener can always expect an exciting and versatile trip.

Over the years, they have been involved in many projects - regular club nights in Germany & Austria with illustrious international guest DJs, their own monthly radio show on the Swiss-based radio station GDS.FM or the organization of national record fairs in Germany and Austria. 

Numerous DJ sets on festivals, clubs & radio stations take them across Europe to spread that SoulBrigada vision: from Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria to Croatia, Bulgaria & Greece. 

This passion has also led to music production, which has accumulated a considerable number of releases over the years. It all started in 2011 when their first production, a remix of a song by the 'Gilles Peterson Havana Cultura Band' was officially released on a limited & exclusive vinyl EP. Further releases followed on KAT45, Matasuna Records, Légère Recordings, Resense and Samosa Records. More releases will see the light of day in the near future.

In summer 2016 the own label Matasuna Records was launched, which is specialized in reissuing rare music from all over the world, but also doesn't disregard great contemporary music. The label has built up an excellent reputation among music connoisseurs over the years, so that many of the vinyl releases are already sold out.
