If there’s anyone who prompts the question “When does he find time to make that?” it’s serial editor and remixer Pete Le Freq. For more than 20 years he’s been reworking disco and funk classics as label boss of Alpaca Edits and Llama Farm Recordings, updating originals with a distinctive dance‑floor edge. His prolific remixes have been played by DJs worldwide — he’s a regular at Beatherder, made his Ring stage debut this summer alongside Utah Saints and Jaegerossa, and is a Mastermix remixer alongside Ben Liebrand, Sgt Slick and DJ S. He’s shared decks with Young Pulse, Michael Gray, Craig Charles, Dr Packer and Jo Whiley, and already has dates booked for 2026. 

Simply put:  he makes what he loves in the headphones come out the big speakers.

SoulBrigada was founded in 2009 by the german artists & musicians Alex D. and Fabio V. With this project they want to pull down stereotyped thinking and musical barriers and present a wide range of various music. As the name SoulBrigada associates Soulmusic is obligatory for them but they’re not limited to this genre – the main point is the SOUL in the music. Moving between Beats & Breaks, Global Grooves, Electronica, Disco & Rare Groove, the listener can always expect an exciting and versatile trip.

Over the years, they have been involved in many projects - regular club nights in Germany & Austria with illustrious international guest DJs, their own monthly radio show on the Swiss-based radio station GDS.FM or the organization of national record fairs in Germany and Austria. 

Numerous DJ sets on festivals, clubs & radio stations take them across Europe to spread that SoulBrigada vision: from Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria to Croatia, Bulgaria & Greece. 

This passion has also led to music production, which has accumulated a considerable number of releases over the years. It all started in 2011 when their first production, a remix of a song by the 'Gilles Peterson Havana Cultura Band' was officially released on a limited & exclusive vinyl EP. Further releases followed on KAT45, Matasuna Records, Légère Recordings, Resense and Samosa Records. More releases will see the light of day in the near future.

In summer 2016 the own label Matasuna Records was launched, which is specialized in reissuing rare music from all over the world, but also doesn't disregard great contemporary music. The label has built up an excellent reputation among music connoisseurs over the years, so that many of the vinyl releases are already sold out.

Mune_Ra: Lessons in Groove

Groove kennt viele Stile. Mune_Ra liebt sie alle, baut sie maßstabsgetreu ein und konstruiert daraus ein neues, enorm treibendes Ganzes. Bei seinen Sets bespielt er das weite Feld von organischem Hip-Hop, Jazz, Native Tongue, Soul über Boom-Bap, Afrobeat bis hin zu Worldmusic und allem anderen, was in die Glieder fährt. 

Dabei hält Mune_Ra sich und sein Publikum nicht mit dem Kanon der Hip-Hop- und Soul-Heroen auf, sondern pumpt mit raren Vinyl-Tracks einen magischen Moment nach dem anderen. Willkommen zu einer stampfenden Irrfahrt zwischen Geschichte und Zukunft des Grooves. Neben der Crowd treibt Mune_Ra als DJBooker Clubnächte in Hamburg voran.

DJ and producer based in Toulouse, Mr Boom was raised on Techno in the 90’s. 
He soon after discovered and explored the joys of polyrhythmic dance music made in the UK (Jungle, Breaks, UK Garage, Broken Beat…). 
He transcribed these inspirations into his own music and released remixes for Acid Arab (Crammed Discs) Pawas (Get Physical Music), Mawimbi, Onipa, Ephemerals, Featurecast (Jalapeno Records), Murlo (Low Up Records). 
Regularly reviewed in the english press (Mixmag, DMC World), his productions are playlisted by Bradley Zero, Rob Luis (TruThoughts), Simbad, Gones the DJ, Bill Brewster, Graeme Park... 
He also joined the local collective Love Saves the Day and HMiT Records in Toulouse.
Through all these experiences, Mr Boom feeds his passion of musical transmission in all its forms.
