As the new year kicks off, there's a buzz of teamwork in the air over at Phase Records DNB. Their latest project, ‘Perspective II’, is the second Various Artists EP on the quickly rising imprint. It's a reunion of sorts, bringing back the OG Phase crew—Premonition, Artillery, Ominous, Inertia (NZ), XYDE, and  label head honcho Gifta.  And guess what? They've also brought in some fresh blood with Dapreme and Vispera joining the crew.

Perspective is their way of saying, 'Hey, we're not just about one vibe.' They're all about exploring the shadows in Drum & Bass while exposing the crazy variety in the genre. They don't want to box themselves in; instead, they're throwing the doors wide open for the music. Their goal? To craft something that speaks to you, to show you the light inside the dark beats.

Each track on the ‘Perspective II’ EP is a different flavour but still carries that Phase Records DNB vibe: full-on energy, sophisticated, and pushing the boundaries.

This EP is just the beginning for the coming year of releases and events. They've got big plans for 2024—with more music from each artist on the way. Are you ready for year two, round two of Phase Records DNB? Because they're all in, and ready for whatever the year throws their way!

A band that brings the funk to d&b! In their music, they blend funky melodies and heavy basslines with live instruments, creating a vibey cocktail best served at dancefloors. Having established themselves on the scene with releases on labels such as Soul Deep or Liquid Boppers, they eventually found a home as part of legendary V Recordings family, cherry-picked by bossman Bryan Gee as one of the new-school aliases for Liquid V. Bryan himself supports their infectious sound in most of his sets & podcasts, but you can also hear their tunes rinsed in sets of upfront DJs like Jumpin’ Jack Frost, Rene LaVice, Command Strange, BCee, Dossa & Locuzzed etc.
They perform as a DJ act accompanied by horns (sax+trumpet) and usually don’t stay within just liquid funk but go for a blend of all funky subgenres of dnb. At times, they even stretch their musical wings outside the dnb realm, blending a myriad of musical influences that all drum and bass aficionados and connoisseurs of fine music can appreciate, as they remain moving on the dancefloor during their sets.
