It takes time to really know God. Every worthwhile relationship takes time and that's what He wants with you. Knowing God is not a social activity; it's very personal and different to each of us that He creates in His image.  Knowing God is a call to intimacy and connection with the divine. He already knows everything about you, and he still loves you! Remember, who He is, changes EVERYTHING!

Take Time To Know Him

He calls us to a different way of living,

I wrote this song because for so many years I had no idea I could approach the throne room of the Most High God with anything but the Lords Prayer. The moment I realized that He desired a relationship with me, and wants to hear from me, my failings and all, changed everything in my life and my prayer life. Now, I boldly go to Him in thanksgiving, misgivings, prayers for help, deliverance, gratefulness, or simply just to tell Him how much I love Him. I hope and pray this song speaks to you and changes your prayer life and relationship with Him for the better. Abundant blessings to you and yours.

I love the musical melody intro to this song! It simply expresses the freedom I feel with the "letting go" of things I had once fought for, and held onto. The sheer freedom of letting my God handle everything, all hurt, any concern, sickness, etc. Remember, let it all go, because the battle belongs to the Lord!

2 Timothy 4:7:  Paul said, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
The apostle Paul writes of his life as running the race. Paul is telling Timothy that he had put every effort into the work of proclaiming to all the gospel of salvation.
In Mark 16:15 Jesus gives a clear and powerful command to us, His followers, to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to all creation. We as believers spread the good news of salvation through Christ, to everyone, everywhere.  Amen. Ready. Set. Let's go! :)

He Is Working

I was studying the other day in Genesis, reading about Abraham and his father, who was an idol maker. In the United States, most of us do not have an idol we can hold, but we definitely have other idols to distract us and take our time from communing with the **Creator of our soul** Who loves us so much and desires an intimate relationship with us. It literally broke my heart when I realized this because Jesus has given me so much, in fact He gave me EVERYTHING. I wrote a song about idols but it took me a couple of months to post this, because it hits so deep.
I pray for those hearing this song that the Lord speaks to you, offers you renewal, and lifts you up.

1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

🔥 Modern-Day Idols
Comfort – The desire to avoid difficulty or discomfort at all costs, even when it means avoiding obedience.

We crave ease more than endurance, pleasure more than purpose.

Control – The illusion that we can manage every outcome, fix every problem, or dictate the future.

When trust in God feels risky, we try to take His place.

Success / Achievement – Defining identity by accomplishments, careers, or recognition instead of by who we are in Christ.

We often worship progress more than presence.

Approval of Others – Needing validation from people more than affirmation from God.

Social media, popularity, or praise easily become altars we bow to.

Love of Money / Materialism – Equating security with possessions, status, or comfort rather than God’s provision.

We measure worth by wealth instead of worship.

Self – The culture of “self-love” and personal freedom above all else.

The idol of “me first” replaces “Your will be done.”

Entertainment / Distraction – Constant noise, screens, and scrolling that drown out the still, small voice of God.

Whatever keeps us from prayer becomes what we truly prioritize.

Knowledge without wisdom / Technology – Trusting human innovation and intellect more than divine wisdom.

We often ask Google before we ask God.
