Sivey recently hit us with the edit of Frank O's 'Pink Matter' and as soon as we hit play we knew it was a classic refix. Whether you've heard of Sivey or not, he is one of the best in the world. He has one of the most refreshing production styles. At the moment he is working on a collaboration with <b>Evil Needle</b> and is also working on his solo EP that is scheduled to release early 2013 on Soulection. Please pay attention.

"<i>What's up people, my name is Sivey, I'm a producer/remixer/beatmaker from the UK. The idea to remix "Pink Matter" came to me before I'd even finished listening to the original track for the first time. The bluesy, melancholic chords were screaming at me to throw some synths on them and see what happened. Originally I had planned to make an instrumental edit, just looping the intro riff as a sample, but as the original track is quite minimal I tried applying my parts over the whole song which worked surprisingly well. Arranging my production around the vocals resulted in a gradual "slow-burn" build-up that hopefully reflects the growing intensity of the original piece. I hope you enjoy the track.</i>"

Our love affair with Auckland continues in the form of another new addition to the stables - Samuel Truth.
We were very fortunate to stumble upon Samuel via twitter, and upon further research into his soundcloud, we were amazed by the body and depth of his work. His most recent output 'Kingdom' displays an incredible diversity of styles in his tracks, from traditional beat numbers, 4/4 tempo to more experimental bass and trap / juke elements. But most importantly, he does not overdo things - something that we emphasize heavily here at DTW. That ability to capture the essence and communicate the intent across is extremely rare in the current age of music, and we feel Samuel has that uncanny sense to do so.

For this special freebie, we decided to upload 'Caspian' which hinges on a soulful 4/4 beatdown vibe, again highlighting his eclectic nature.
