Locklead - Good Times EP

New kid on the block Locklead delivers his first appearance on Soulfood with his "Good Times EP". And good times it is! Locklead is known for heavy kick drums, phat bass lines and uplifting percussion rhythms. On tis EP he doesn't leave any of those behind. On remix duty is one his inspirators. Kris Wadsworth delivers a phat old school dusty rework of the title track. It's all about the groove on this one. On the b-side Locklead's taking it up a notch. No doubt that "And Forever" will destroy every dance floor. Massive bomb! Let's finish things of with "Playground". Again, bangin' kick drums and phat grooves seems like the perfect recipe in here. This one ain't for the faint hearted!

Sprung from the mind of the driving force behind one of techno’s larger imprints, Soulfood is a modern house label that draws upon the timeless quality of classic Chicago house and UK garage for inspiration. It aims to put out fresh, sexy and ballsy house music that will still maintain its essential and funky edge ten years from now. 

Residing in good hands, both in terms of artistic guidance and contributing artists, the young imprint sets the bar high for itself. Names like De Sluwe Vos and Kindimmer have already signed on and more are soon to follow. Carefully constructed founding principles and strict supervision from both labelhead and resident artists, guarantee that quality will never give way to quantity. Add to that the importance of “commercial viability” firmly residing at the absolute bottom of the priority list and a new, exciting label is born.

Soulfood wants to be the home of pure, raw and uplifting house music, regardless of origin. Whether one is a veteran artist or upcoming production talent is irrelevant: as long as the music speaks to all, Soulfood will gladly serve as its conduit. House music from the heart & soul.
