On TENTEN01, Dutch up-and-comer Mance filters old-school hard house through the feet-shaking power of speed garage. Classic dance sounds pass through the rip-roaring woodblock breakbeat of “Left, Right, Hold On Tight” and reggae-speedy g mashup of “Much Better”, only now masked in a nocturnal and restless atmosphere.

Mance makes use of every minute of the EP, letting each drop snowball into the next and developing new levels of energy. Take “Ethereal Pulses”, which switches up in the second half to adding airborne tubular synths that hint at Eurodance glory. The “Dred Mix” of that track takes the bopping and weaving organ pattern of the original and spirals it down a dark tunnel before slamming you with a speed garage twist. Keep it rolling, and this EP will never stop rewarding you.
