Born in Naples (Italy) in 1974 he has his first contact with electronic music at the age of 15 after getting a closer friendship with a guy that owned a pair of Technics 1210 and then ours spent every day learning the art of beat-mixing, until a year later Joseph gets himself a pair of decks and he becomes resident to all his friends parties.
In 1991 joseph plays for the 1st time in a club, the CIAO Club (Naples, ITA) a total success, the owner was literally impressed by the skills of this young talented boy (at the time only 17) that he decides to offer him a residency in his club and this opportunity gave him the possibility to play with artists of the calibre of: Charlie Hall, Billy Nasty, Paul Dailey, Gayle San, Bandulu, Robert Armani, Space Dj'z, Darren Emerson, Richie Hawtin, Luke Slater and many other.
In 1995 Joseph flies to London where he starts to study sound engineering and a little later he opens his first record label (Shingun Records) together with Andrea Jacobsthal, another italian producer that understood straight away where Joseph was going with his music.
The production experience made Joseph Ala more confident, thanks to the style he has developed but also to all the good responses he has been receiving from all around the world, considering his chart positions throughout the years.
As the music was fusing, generating the minimalistic phenomenon, Joseph adapted his style to it, however never loosing his techno roots, and that's when Soulmate Records was born.
Nowadays Joseph Ala is a well established and respected artist with loads of experience behind him.

Luca was born in naples in 1975 in the beautiful and flourishing 90’s.
Luca began topers his feelings and love for music with turntables at the age of 16.

About twenty years later whilst playing in a club in a naples he met Salvio Scarpa,a local dj.

Helped by a similar teste of music a wonderful partnership began.

Together they focused on electronic music and techno (in particular) and over the years had collaborations with the giants of techno such as Jeff Mils, Richie Hawtin , Dave clark, Francois k, Sven Vath, John Acquaviva and many others.

A spendid cooperation between the the two djs gave life to their musical project “Familie Ground” which as lasted for two decades.
They established a studio and created a project that over many years boasted numerous collaborations with internationally renowned djs and labels.

These include “Rec scene" with Danilo Vigorito “Shake" with Paco Osuna, “Design music" with Marco Carola, till not least remain Ltd rec, Ksl, Mad etc.

Luca had a long association as being part of a duo and felt the need to start over with a new solo project.
So after a period of pause, he emerged with some deep musical turmoil full of new ideas and sounds.

Now he re-takes the sounds made in naples and influeced by the new musical trend.

his personal experience with music begins '92 as school parties manager and school radiostation dj. Electronic music fascinating him from his earliest age: Depeche Mode,Yazoo,Camouflage and Kraftwerk, that his first music heroes.
'93 during listening to a radio he discovred dj Westbam's tunes. From that moment he falled in love to techno music. He attends hundreds of techno parties (Mayday, Soundtropolis) and one day idea about djing crystalized.
Its 2004 and Lukas held his first party as a dj in legendary Cracow club Roentgen.
2010 he moved out to live in Germany. He learning and evolving. 2011 and Lucas became dj-resident in Hannover club Underground. He is a part of many great gigs at Underground. He played alongside such names as: Adam Beyer,Alan Fitzpatrick,Joel Mull,Cari Lekebusch,Sasha Carassi, Westbam,Dr.Motte,The Advent,Miss Djax,Klaudia Gawlas,Cortechs,Mark Reeve,Sven Wittekind,Frank Kvitta,Mario Ranieri,Alex Dolby,L.A.W u.k,Raphael Dincsoy,Drumcomplex and many others.
At the same time he also djing at Rotterdam, Cracow, Tychy. 
Bit unpredictable when he is behind decks... he can play from downtempo/minimal, deep house to pure Techno  ,Hard Techno. Sometimes it depends from party/ place caracter sometimes... its just about his mood.
During his Germany period dark techno becomes his main musical ingidient.
