Este año Cosmovision Records tuvo muchos lanzamientos que se atrevieron a explorar en territorios más experimentales con  ¨Metamine¨, ¨Botanique¨ y ¨La Levantine¨, como también otros que se adentraron en una reflexión más introspectiva y mística como ¨Detrás de lo Invisible¨ y ¨Los 4 Elementos¨, esto sumado al compilado ¨Cantos a la Madre¨ que dedicado a las energías femeninas y la tradición lírica, puso la nota de Folktrónica y de humanidad acústica que dió un equilibrio a un año que por lo general cargó mucho a lo netamente electrónico dentro de la escena.

Manchester (UK) based Mazayr has always felt a deep connection to music. Experimenting with electronic music for well over a decade, his passion for creativity stems from much earlier as a keen drummer in his youth. This love for rhythm naturally translated to dance music and birthed a tireless focus on finding his own sound as a music producer. Mazayr’s sound has arrived at a blend of emotional, uplifting and melancholic melodies, intertwined with punchy, solid grooves. Influences come from an eclectic mix of genres and as an artist his tracks are built to stand the test of time. His style has earned him debuts on labels such as The Purr, Cigarette Music and Canopy Sounds, with more exciting projects already in the pipeline. As a DJ, Mazayr has frequented various venues across Manchester, including Pangaea Festival and the infamous Sankeys nightclub. In 2019, he began hosting events and a mix series under the Right Frequency banner to showcase melodic house music.

There are still a few places on this planet which almost nobody has seen yet or which are even completely unspoilt by civilization. These remote areas often harbor extremely rare species of animals and plants and tickle the fantasy of some writers.
One of these places is the Roraima Tepui, a table mountain with an elevation of 2810 meter, which is located on the frontier of 3 countries : Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana.
The first man to climb this mountain was a British explorer in the year 1884. Before that day, nobody had dared to venture into the area out of superstition. Back then, it was rumored that some extinct species of animals actually still lived on this table mountain. Although such a sensational discovery didn’t happen, it must have been an overwhelming feeling to be the very first human being to venture into this hidden world. Every step a new adventure, every exploration without road signs, admiring all these wonders of nature without capturing it with a selfie-stick.
Of course the discovery of this unique world did not stay a secret for long. The news of this breathtaking expedition spread quickly and the author of Sherlock Holmes even brought dinosaurs to the Roraima Tepui, at least in his novel ‘The Lost World’.
We still have one compelling question about this place : which noises are there to be heard in this remote spot? To answer that question, we think that nobody on this planet is better placed than Vemativ and in this deep story you’ll have the unique opportunity to discover the sound of this unspoilt part of our planet…

Bambu Huts in 11.02.24. This is  no ordinary venue; it was a place I had stumbled upon a year before, a serendipitous discovery during a quiet moment of exploration. From the moment I set foot on its sandy shores, I felt an inexplicable connection to it.

The setting sun painted the sky in a palette of warm colours, reflecting off the rough waters of the bay that day.

As I began to mix, I let the surroundings guide my song selection. The melodic beats of uplifting Indie Dance echoed off the cliffs, blending harmoniously with the gentle lapping of the waves. Each track seemed to tell a story, weaving through the salty air and into the hearts of those gathered.

Time lost its meaning as the music carried us on a journey of sound.
We had experienced something truly special, a fleeting moment of unity and harmony with nature and music. The hidden bay had once again worked its magic, leaving us all with a sense of wonder and gratitude for the beauty of the moment.

As I packed up my gear, the gentle sound of the waves served as a reminder that this place held a piece of my heart. I knew I would return, drawn by the irresistible pull of the hidden bay and the memories of an unforgettable DJ set.

Born and raised in Chile, ¨El Extravagante¨ is Felipe Nadeau’s project that was born after he emigrated to Canada, where the nostalgia for his land and ancestral culture took him to explore folklore, psychedelic and dance rhythms from South America and the world.

Today, living in Montréal, El Extravagante is producing music, DJing and is one of the main names of Cosmovision Records, which goal is to share electronic music with a folklore root in Canada and the world. 
This session is a mixture of sounds from South America, India and more, from an electronic/downtempo perspective, a session to relax, get some groovy good vibes and enjoy.

El Extravagante Live Act for Baikal Nomads

@ElExtravagante is a nomad from Chile, the last country to the South of planet Earth actually based in Montréal/Canada, ¨the other side of the world¨. His music is a mix of tropical grooves and electronic folklore with sometimes a spicy touch of Psychedelia. 

Due the lack of opportunities as a South American immigrant with an electronic music project  outside the norm of the Canadian scene, mostly into House/Techno, he decided to create an alternative and with @Don-Mescal (another immigrant, from France) in 2018 they created @CosmovisionRecords & Collective, opening a whole new platform that gave visibility and a voice to many local and international artists, from Montréal to the world.


In this Live Act you can enjoy many of ¨El Extravagante¨ original songs plus a few remixes and one or two unreleased tracks as well, going between electronic folklore/cumbia and downtempo, done with Ableton, a few synths and acoustic instruments recorded live, enjoy!
