V Classic was an appetiser. Today I officially have 5K followers, and so I have a duo* of Platinum Breakz mixes for you all. 

Was great to rediscover this one in its extended CD form. As a paid-up Headz fan I already owned half of the content when the LP dropped in 1996, and so mentally pigeonholed it more as 'the album with Unofficial Ghost on it' than anything else. Listening back and structuring this mix 25 years later, I've realised what an exceptionally well-balanced and atmospheric collection this is, with many lighter moments that contrast with the filthy exclusives such as Armoured D and The Nocturnal.

Eschaton: The 2024 Omni Sessions - Volume 8

This mix was inspired by this image I found on Unsplash. The photographer wrote this poignant description: "Summer was over. Our last night. We knew that we will probably never see each other again, but no one wanted to believe in that. We were happy and lost. Lost in this sunset forever."

I wanted to capture that feeling in a mix. The word "promise" appears here in three tunes, in titles or vocal refrains. When I heard the opening tune, which samples a famous 80s tune about lost youth and love, the rest followed naturally. 

You'll hear atmospheric jungle and liquid dnb vibes from Tokyo Prose, Bailey, and Mineral, alongside Metalheadz classics from Drifter and Dillinja. Track list is below. Enjoy!
