Co-founder of SixthSense Australia channel and events; a slick (and saucy) DJ; a producer with releases on Techgnosis Records, Recovery Collective, Digital Diamonds and more; and now the newest member of the Bassic Records management team. An all original set for Sixth Sense Australia at My Aeon in Melbourne. Had the absolute time of my life, the set features two hours of all original music with a bunch of new melodic techno to kick things off. As it slowly increases in bpm there are some experimental bass sections to break up the 4x4 beat pattern as it heads into more bush prog / deep prog sounds. This week we welcome back Astro Pleasure, an aspiring astronaut from Melbourne’s south east and is currently recruiting crew members to join him on an expedition to space.

AP, the alias of Brodie Hayward is a long time friend of the Proxima community and has had the “pleasure” of being a part of their success so far.

 He draws inspiration from all walks of life and many diverse oddities of music.   AP has explored many different genres and has a versatile musical background under his belt but mainly produces prog and techno. Which offers a truly pleasurable listening experience to those who are lovers of dance music.

Equipped with a whole bunch of world class unreleased tunes as well as an inventory of tastefully picked tunes to suit his uniquely raw blend of melodic yet driving progressive techno, AP will be sure to make you feel something throughout a set.
 
Although talented, Brodie is constantly improving. We don't think it will be much longer until we see him slamming a dusty dance floor at your favourite bush doof and for us at Proxima, we can't wait.

CLYNCH (@10-inch-clynch) - AKA the espresso martini lord. When he isn’t mixing tracks behind the decks you’ll find him shaking cocktails on the other side. Clynch loves to leave his audience stunned with crazy, progressive, psychedelic sounds by perfectly curating his sets that flow so naturally it feels like a stomping journey. You’ll hear him playing some of the best psytech there is leading into bushprog absurdity!! 

After journeying up to qld for elements and experiencing the crazy talent of electrypnose and jossie telch. they are a huge inspiration behind this particular mix, involving psychedelic sounds and proggy bass lines.

The raw live recording of our set from Esoteric Festival 2020. We were greeted by a beautiful sunset and our best friends along with the beautiful souls that made this Esoteric experience an amazing one. A massive thank you to Bushtechno, especially Michael Muska for holding a space that truly represents who we are as a culture. And a special mention to Chia Jen art for yet another beautiful display of ultimate doof art, the bushtechno stage was such a sight to behold. 

Choons are a pure representation of evening psychedelic, proggy chug. Music that we feel resonates best with the Australian bush.
