We are a group of San Diego musicians who have formed a fresh sound that we call 'Groove Rock'.  Blended from funky soul, bluesy rock, and an eclectic list of influences, we're here to have a good time and take ourselves super seriouslys.

Many incarnations preceded GI James. DJing became a part of life growing up on a diet of hardcore and acid house. Forays into the world of drum & bass in her late teens became a pivotal time for exploration of tempo, energy and ambience. Meanwhile, adventures in tropical locations informed a new appreciation of colour, style and mood.

After journeying into techno and house, warehouses and festivals, some of Sophie's first sets were performed at Dimensions Festival, Secret Garden Party and FOUND with guest mixes featured on Rinse FM and Secret Garden’s Secret FM, and gigs from Elle and H&M to beaches in SE Asia.

Blending ambient samples with techno, exotic house and world inspired sounds, GI James is an intrepid explorer of anything tribal and transcendental, with reggae, hip hop and funk curveballs en route.

Spellabee Space presents "Keeping It Nice With James and Luke" a weekly comedy podcast where each week JT and LF tackle a theme and talk it into submission. Sometimes they remain spectators, other times  they go out and try it themselves. Want to join them in their journey? Check back each Wednesday for a new episode!

Simone Sole is a live, radio and club dj since mid eighties. He has played and of course he is still plays in prestigious italian clubs.
He's RELOOP Italy official artist and
His radioshow is broadcasted on a network of about 20 world radio and webradio and it continues to grow.
He collaborates with the most important dance and house labels and he's official tastemaker for many of them , as well as collaborate with leading remixer and mashupper worldwide.

Dear Friends,
we have been active on Soundcloud for 12 years now. Since the first beta we supported this wonderful project. Unfortunately Soundcloud has changed a lot. Since there are no more groups To us SC feels like frozen. The advertising is more annoying than on Spotify - even though we pay for it! Our visitors are mostly good old Friends. Most of them - like on reverbnation - are also musicians. Don't get me wrong, SC is a great Place to communicate with other musicians but not so much for promotion nowadays.

Many of you spend a lot of time and energy in collecting likes and comments here - but what for if no "real" listeners come by? You work for soundcloud many hours a month, pay for it and have to listen to their addspots, too - crazy!
Soundcloud is offering a monetization similar to Spotify for a while now, when you become a pro-member. However, you need at least 1000 plays a month and come from the "right" country to participate and only a few reach that number every month.

We have compared the number of plays for some of our current tracks:
