was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a dazzling city of just over a quarter million people, located east of the Mississippi River. Louisiana has a very diverse culture, a culture of accents, dialects, seasonings, and foods, a melting pot of creole, Cajun, west Indian, African culture.

This diverse upbringing molded Tay into who he is today, a clever rapper and unique personality. By seeing the various ways culture can differ, Tay learned how to see the various ways the rap genre differ too, and SHOULD differ. “I feel artist are playing it safe and relying on trying to improve what’s already been done,” remarks Tay, “instead of just being true to themselves.”

As a singer, rapper & songwriter, Sharde has written for Universal Publishing and her songs have been placed in several commercials and television and online shows. She has sang background for many artists such as Kelly Price, Lalah Hathaway and B Slade. She also has won singing competitions such as Essence magazine’s “New & Next” in 2018 and The Voice on Snapchat season 3 in 2017.
