Walter Blount Jr. proudly describes the innovations his father made in his Nyack dry cleaning and tailoring business.  Even though Walter Sr. did not have a higher education he made sure all his children had the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

Harcourt Dodds, a graduate of Dartmouth College, former District Attorney for the City of New York, and a former long-time resident of New Rochelle, NY,  recollects how, when he was a young boy growing up during the 1940's, his father explained to him that the professional sport of Major League Baseball was segregated by race.

A Christmas Kindness Remembered
