A very special recording from our 10 years of MFM event at Fairfield Amphitheatre last September between Jamie and Lauren. It was beautiful to see two close friends throwing down tracks, lost in the music and the thing that they love. You know things are going well when an hour into their set, Jamie and Lauren both asked if we were recording the set. Yesterday was Jamie's birthday and we and Lauren felt it was the right time to release this mix, as a celebration of Jamie and his music. Recorded back in November, producers, visual artists, DIY record label and DJ duo Good Block brought their expansive selections to The Marquee Moon. The pair have been busy preparing new music (TBA soon) and set to be released on their own imprint, but for now, listen back to over 5 hours of free-flowing music from the depths of their record bags constantly manoeuvring towards the dancefloor.

Behind its ramparts—built by order of Louis XIV to defend Marseille’s harbor—the Île Degaby shelters a military fort, named in honor of Admiral Costentin de Tourville. It retained its military purpose until the early 20th century, before being sold by the State to a Marseille industrialist. He gave it its current name, as a tribute to his mistress, the dancer Liane Degaby. The island has been the subject of countless dreams and unfinished projects, changing hands several times without ever truly opening itself to the people of Marseille. Until May 2024, when its pop-up bar and restaurant finally opened!
