Richii Tomoe is a seasoned music lover who’s no stranger to the rodeo when it comes to international club scenes. Starting out as a party promoter in Fukuoka, Richii has led a global\nomadic lifestyle spanning from Japan to Australia and most recently Berlin, allowing her to rack up a considerable portfolio of dancefloor miles in different scenes. Richii’s unique sense of club experience has inevitably guided her towards the DJ booth, debuting throughout various events this past summer, most notably the much spoken about “Speedy Boarding” raves (involuntarily hosted by Elon Musk on Tesla grounds) along with the Sound Metaphors Summer party at Oxi Garden. As a new member to the Sound Metaphors family, we’re honored to bring you one of her recorded mixes. We hope this helps illustrate the exquisite flavors of Richii’s latest DJ pursuits.

Recorded an hour of listening music for WMBR, a student-run community radio station in Boston/USA connected to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The radio has been going since 1946 and has an impressive cd & vinyl collection. This show was recorded live in the studio after my fantastic tour in the americas back in February 2025. Thanks to Will, Rasaaq & Sojourn crew for making this happen. One love.

El productor argentino Cosmosolar regresa a Espacio CIELO con El Rarito, un lanzamiento que incluye dos originales y reworks de CYCLE y Calystarr—material pensado para la pista con pegada indie-dance y filo dark-disco. La fecha de salida es el 10 de septiembre de 2025. 

En su relectura, CYCLE tuerce la geometría del tema hacia un terreno más musculoso: bombos secos, bajos de goma que respiran entre compases y una línea de sintes que serpentea con tensión pop-noir. Mantienen el pulso bailable pero suman actitud de banda: minidosis de guitarras procesadas, percusiones que abren y cierran el espacio, y un breakdown calculado para soltar al público justo en el golpe del drop. Resultado: un crossover listo para peak-time que conserva el ADN melódico de Cosmosolar y lo viste con ese brillo electro-rock marca de la casa.

El paquete completo se arma con los cortes originales El Rarito y Rotorhead —más el remix de Calystarr— consolidando una narrativa que dialoga entre lo hipnótico y lo hedonista. Has anyone toyed with the rules and subverted expectation quite as much as DJ Fett Burger in recent years? We can’t think of many people who are more thrilling to listen to than the Sex Tags co-founder. Whether viewing ambient through a dubby house lens, getting wilfully weird with time signatures or wonderfully wonky with his grooves, the Norwegian is in a class of one. He’s fairly prolific too, with more than 22 EPs to his name since 2012, yet each and every time he steps out, he manages to sound more fun and freaky than before. 

It’s the same story with his DJ sets. The one we have here is a three-hour ready-made party: it starts with ass-wiggling funk and joyous disco before things begin to unravel into tumble-down house and heavily percussive afro drums. Fett Burger isn’t afraid to suddenly switch up the tempo or roughly blend in a new tune, either, just so long as the energy remains. And it does, with things ending up not far from where they started with a classic slice of Prince that will leave you wanting to do it all again.
