BELGIUM. What do you know about Belgium. That it is home to ten million chocolate-munching, beer-drinking waffleheads? Yes. That their national soccer team is on the verge of winning the 2014 world championship? Obviously. But did you know that the great Julius Caesar once said that the Belgians were the bravest ravers of all the Gauls? 
Let’s see... Jean-Claude Vandamme? Excellent raver. René Magritte? Check. Tintin? Unrivaled! But what you might have overlooked is that also less known Belgicae such as ‘Lords of Acid’, ‘CJ Boland’ or ‘Yves de Ruyter’ are notorious for their work in the Fine Rave arts.
Needless to say, it cannot be easy for Belgians these days to follow in the footsteps of such grandiose rave legends. But the Belgian is a peculiar creature. It is in his blood to never be satisfied and always look for a way to contribute to the legacy.
Belgian electronic music duo “SOUND OF STEREO” are no different. Determined to paying tribute to their ancestors, the duo decided to unleash their own interpretation of their favorite rave classics upon the world. Every week, Jochen and Vincent, will release a contemporary edit of a Belgian classic. The project, called “SLAVE TO THE RAVE”, will reflect Sound of Stereo’s love and passion towards the music which they grew up with. With these ‘future rave edits’, the duo continues a long, fruitful tradition of no-nonsense dance music and – as befits true Belgians – pass it on to the next generation of Jean-claude Vandammes.

When we were told we could pick any Orlando Voorn classic to remix, we immediately knew we HAD to remix 'In Da Jungle'. 

So we got remixing and came up with this tribal affair which seems to get down pretty well in our sets. Not that intro and a drop after a minute stuff, but an old school vibe with classic slow build ups that hopefully does some justice to the amazing original.
