Solid Steel (25th July) We start this week with Leeds based producer Bambooman who has his EP 'Dulcet' out on Sonic Router. He has also released on Brownswood and Project Mooncircle, and this is what he said about his mix:
"I tried to make the mix as summery as possible to go with the great weather we've been having; so here's hoping it gives of that vibe! I included a few old favourites - tracks that inspired me to make music in the first place from people like Edan, Moondog and Storms and Stress - alongside some new stuff I found that I've really been feeling from Lonnie Holley, Mo Kolours and Connan Mockasin before tying it off with 'Like A Hawk'; a track by my good friend's band, Golden Teacher. The rest of the mix is all my own material: Bambooman tracks (some released, some not) alongside tracks I've produced for London based soul singer, Segilola and bits from my side project Grouphums and 'Ferric' from my Rhodo Dendron collaboration alongside producer Venuq.
Best served with sunshine and an ice cold juice..."

Carl Jean-Louis, better known as Dextah, is a Chicago native currently residing in Northern California’s Bay Area. His releases throughout the years have displayed his love for hard drums and contemporary Hip Hop. Originally released by the seminal New York label and Blog Grandgood (Dj Signify, Grandmaster Caz, etc) “Relentless Disillusion” is Dextah’s first official full length and is evocative of a David Lynch soundtrack. 

Straight out of the artist's archives, “Relentless Disillusion Redux” includes limited copies of the original vinyl pressing, DVD, plus a download code (200pcs worldwide). As an added feature the never before released digital format includes 2 haunting bonus tracks, "All I Have Is Salvation" and "Lovers Spat" .

The project was mastered by Canadian beat-smith Sixtoo (Ninjatune). The vinyl version features a Bonus DVD by System D128 who is best known for his work with The Wu Tang Clan, Bigg Jus, Diplo, Blockhead, Madvillain and Daft Punk.

Solid Steel (20th October) In Hour 1 our guest is Airhead following the release of his new Shaded/ Antipolo 12" on Hemlock. It's a welcome return to the label for the artist who has also released music on R & S, Brainmath, Different Circles and 1-800 Dinosaur, the label run by Dan Foat and James Blake. He told us;
"This is mainly a collection of new/unreleased/forthcoming music. The first half is quite slow and introspective, then it builds towards the sort of dancefloor stuff I’m playing out at the moment. I’m a huge fan of the Beatrice Dillon & Rupert Clervaux LP and was pleased to find a way to work one of their tracks in, as well as the DJ Python stuff and Neuroshima’s new unreleased tracks. Hopefully the mix can act as a soundtrack for these cold autumn nights, and hopefully some of the unlisted stuff will be revealed soon."
