At the end of Spring & at the beginning of Summer we decided to release this "Spring Story". It represents incredible varieties of emotions about this time. Vadim Basov, artist of DP-6 records, delivers 3 original tracks & moods here. This is not the first time Vadim Basov’s tracks have been released on DP-6 Records. He is well known to music lovers for his unique melodious style that combines special atmosphere and emotion. We are happy to share his musical history and we are sure that it will stay with us for a long time. The remix from DP-6 as always brings their vision & enterpretation of this story.

The latest offering from Sound Avenue finds the label presenting new interpretations of 'Turmeric Latte' by Madloch, Subnode and Pedro Capelossi. Originally released in November of 2020 as part of the trio's EP under the same name, its smoky late-night charm resonated with DJs and fans alike, making for a hugely successful first-time collaborative project from Madloch, Subnode and Pedro. Now looking to bring new life to the much-loved track, Sound Avenue invites Nhar, Darper and Erol Arda to re-imagine the production for the summer of 2022.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Turmeric Latte' is Nhar. With a career that now stretches the better part of two decades, French artist Bernhard Siefert aka Nhar has showcased his deep and atmospheric sound via Jennifer Cardini's Correspondant, Azzur, Darkroom Dubs, Mobilee Records, Seven Villas and more. Also highly regarded as a live performer and DJ, Nhar has continued to travel the world, mesmerizing crowds with his elusive brand of mesmerizing electronic music. Now on the strength of a remix for Everything WIll Be OK, Nhar adds Sound Avenue to his resume with a spirited take on ‘Turmeric Latte'. While keeping the spirit of the original in mind, Nhar lightens the mood with a version that's sure to resonate across dance floors with its charismatic design and youthful exuberance. Undeniably positive throughout, its buoyant bass tones do wonders to create depth, space and swing, while vocal fragments emerge with a tasteful elegance against a backdrop of cascading arps and colourful effects, pushing onwards to a smooth finale. 

Also making his label debut with the second interpretation of ‘Turmeric Latte' is Darper. Based in the UK, Darper first emerged in 2017 with ‘Res', a deep, organic and delightfully musical creation that found a home on Anjunadeep's ‘In Miami' collection. Featured alongside the likes of Lane 8, Patrice Baumel, Way Out West, Yotto and more, it immediately made the Hastings resident a name to watch. Choosing his projects wisely going forward, Darper then went on to record music for Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Balance Music, Culprit, Sag & Tre and more. Now, fresh off his debut vehicle for Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, Darper makes his Sound Avenue debut with a classy rendition of ‘Turmeric Latte'. Punchy, warm and undeniably late night; its character-rich low-end ripples and rolls with fascinating colour and contour, while a myriad of creamy keys, ghostly overlays and effervescent effects converge for a vivid canopy of sound. 

Rounding out this trio of label debutants is Erol Arda who provides the third and final interpretation of ‘Turmeric Latte'. Based in the UK, London resident Erol Arda has compiled an impressive resume since first emerging in 2018. A string of releases via Get Physical's organic offshoot Kindisch laid the groundwork for Erol's deep exotic sound, eventually leading to future projects for Cervidae Recordings, Dream Culture and Hoomidaas. With a recent remix for Proton Music landing with resounding success, Erol continues on an upwards trajectory with his Sound Avenue debut and a gorgeous take on ‘Turmeric Latte'. Groovy and atmospheric in equal measure, the UK artist has created an ideal complement to the original with its low-slung bassline, fluttery percussive splashes and hazy harmonic backdrop. Timely interludes advance the narrative through warm atmospheric phrasing, adding anticipation and depth leading up to a late-night inspired finale. A heady interpretation from Erol, which rounds out an excellent remix edition for Madloch, Subnode and Pedro Capelossi's 'Turmeric Latte'.

We welcome Tunisian producer Different Ray to our label who has curated an EP of absolute quality for us, featuring remixes from Love Over Entropy and Pablo Bolivar.

Kicking off with the skippy, floating title track Echoes, Ray starts as he means to go on.

Beautiful bells chime and echo over dreamy pads, giving the song an emotional depth that is anchored by bassy breakbeats and driving hi-hats.

Different Ray immediately follows up his opener with more heat, this time in the form of Odyssey, a seven-minute weapon that punches with rubbery, rolling basslines, and synth stabs.

The track constantly builds tension before releasing, taking plenty of twists and turns as it grows in intensity. The irresistible bassline remains a constant, however, pushing the song forward and quickly becoming an absolute earworm that you’ll keep coming back to.

The first remix comes courtesy of Pablo Bolivar, who takes the softer elements of Echoes and pairs them with marching, dubby kick drums to create an altogether different vibe from the original track.

Last, but by no means least, is Love Over Entropy’s rumbling take on Odyssey. With crackling, industrial synths and thundering drums, this stripped-back take on Different Ray’s original cut is guaranteed to delight dancefloors around the world.

With a career that spans just over half a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape. The Brazilian born, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, The Purr and TOR highlighting his resume. Sound Avenue has also been a comfortable home for Pedro, with the Madloch and Subnode collaborations 'Turmeric Latte' and 'Vanilla Noise' marking his label debut in 2020, a project which spawned four originals and two remixes across the next two calendar years. Now, as 2023 begins to take shape, Pedro makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a four-track showcase entitled 'Salted Caramel'.

Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint rounds out the month of September by showcasing new interpretations of ‘Salted Caramel' by Pedro Capelossi. With a production career that spans just over half a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape. The Brazilian born, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. From progressive minded roots, Pedro's sonic palette evolved into one with greater organic depth and broader usability overall, ultimately finding a home on Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, a label where he has notched eight discography credits. Sound Avenue would also become a regular landing spot for Pedro's creations, beginning with the Madloch & Subnode collaborative project ‘Turmeric Latte'. It was this meeting of the minds which ultimately set the course for a creative swell, one which saw Pedro go on to release seven originals and two remixes across the next two calendar years for the Belgian imprint. With the year getting underway with ‘Salted Caramel', a four-track showcase of solo productions, Sound Avenue now invites Luis León, Jelly for the Babies, Eric Louis and Konomo to re-imagine the EP in their own inimitable styles.

With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.

The Brazilian born - Spaniard naturalized, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue among other specialized labels such as Loot Recordings, TOR (When We Dip) and Hoomidas Records highlighting his resume.

Over the years Pedro's tracks have counted on support from recognizable names such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, Matt Darrey and Airwave just to name a few.

DJing for over a decade now, in his hometown Barcelona Pedro played in some of the best parties and clubs such as PACHA, NOM Barcelona, Cafe Del Mar, City Hall, Macarena, Valhalla etc. alongside names such as Sebastien Leger, Eelke Kleijn, Cid Inc, Fur Coat and many more.

On his home turf of São Paulo he was responsible for important nightlife projects such as UNIK ID, hosting artists like Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION nights held at one of the most important clubs in Brazil - D.EDGE, supporting world-renowned guest artists all year round.

Pedro's DJ performances focus on underground electronic music, especially dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs same as festivals.

Founded in 2011 by Belgian DJ and producer Madloch, Sound Avenue is an electronic music label that stands for quality and originality. Borderless in vision, the Belgian imprint has forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. Blurring the boundaries between house and techno, it’s a platform for anyone with an open mind and ears. Having built early momentum on a global scale, the label hosted events across Europe, North Amercia, Argentina and their home country of Belgium. These uniquely branded club nights featured some of the labels core artists (at the time) including Agustin Basulto, Beat Syndrome, Luis Junior, Matias Vila, Nicolas Rada and Sound Process. It set in motion what has been a unique course to musical freedom, pioneering various sonic blueprints over the course of eight years, while maintaining a strong bond  between its loyal and ever expanding fanbase.   

Originally intended to be a stand alone platform, as Sound Avenue experienced unprecedented growth its musical horizons expanded, eventually paving the way for two label subsidiaries in 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds. The former drew influence from Sound Avenue’s early beginnings, showcasing the best in melodic house while the latter dove into the realms of deeper, dubby house and laid back modern techno.   

Now over one hundred releases into their journey, Sound Avenue has continued to flourish through precision, care and well thought out A&R choices. It’s this attention to detail that has allowed the label to work with some of electronic music’s most esteemed artists, such as Budakid, Bachir Salloum & Zone+, Charles Webster, Cosmic Cowboys, Eelke Kleijn, Estroe, Facundo Mohrr, James Teej, Kurt Baggaley, Luis Junior, Martin Roth, Pablo Bolivar, Petar Dundov, PHCK, Powel, Santiago Garcia, Stelios Vassiloudis, Superlounge and Tim Engelhardt. 
 
Sound Avenue carefully curates each release to move their vision forward, building a close-knit family of scene veterans, while nurturing new talents such as Agustin Basulto, Giddyhead, Lucefora and Nicolas Rada.
