Madloch's Sound Avenue opens the new year by welcoming Darper back to the label for his debut EP. Based in the UK, Darper first emerged in 2017 with 'Res'; a deep organic creation that found a home on Anjunadeep's 'In Miami' collection. Featured alongside the likes of Lane 8, Patrice Baumel, Way Out West, Yotto and more, it immediately made the Hastings resident a name to watch. Choosing his projects wisely going forward, Darper then went on to record music for Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, Balance Music, Culprit and more across the next four calendar years. Also highly regarded as a DJ, this creative swell of projects took the UK artist to some of the world's trendiest clubs and events, most notably Burning Man, where Darper's unique selections and exquisite programming delighted the desert crowds. Darper's creative partnership with Sound Avenue would begin in 2022 with a well-received remix of 'Tumeric Latte' by Madoch, Subnode and Pedro Capelossi. A release which would open the doors to label affiliate Crossfade Sounds, where the Hasting resident would make his debut in 2023 with a remix of 'Basileo Regolo' by Dott. Santafeo. The year would also see Darper record his first artist showcase for Earthly Delights, before going on to release his first Crossfade Sounds EP, a richly textured and hauntingly musical two-track showcase entitled 'Orbit'. For over 15 years, James Beetham has been carving out a unique sound in the electronic music scene as a DJ, producer/engineer, radio host, and label owner. With a lifelong love of progressive/electronic music underpinning everything he does, James’ ability to connect with an audience has seen him perform at iconic festivals, clubs, and warehouse parties across Australia.
As the founder of the globally recognised progressive house label Late Night Music, James' presence in the progressive electronic music scene is felt far and wide. His original productions and remixes have received widespread support from industry giants such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Jamie Stevens, Subandrio, Kasey Taylor, Nicholas Rada, Praveen Archary, Sonic Union, Maceo Plex, and many more. He has also received remixes from artists such as Dmitry Molosh, Golan Zocher, Robert Babicz, Ewan Rill, and Loco & Jam.

In addition to his work in the studio and as a label owner, James is also an accomplished audio engineer. Having setup his own professional studio, James helps artists to perfect their mixes and achieve their musical vision in the studio.

James' monthly radio show Friction on the internationally renowned Proton Radio is a testament to his passion for sharing great music with the world. His ear for sound has seen him become a sought-after engineer, while his ability to curate great music has made him a respected tastemaker.

2024 see’s James release his 3rd EP titled Tranquility, plus the year also sees him delivering a hand full of remixes and collaborations with this year set to be James’ busiest yet. With his unwavering dedication to his craft, James Beetham is sure to continue making an impact in the electronic music scene for many years to come.

The twelve-track opus proved to be a crowning achievement for about : river, a father and son production team who had built their reputation on borderless creations that were not only club-effective, but never failed to tell a compelling story. Now approaching a three-year creative partnership with Sound Avenue, about : river has continued to further their bond with the label across the last calendar year, remixing Jean Caillou's 'There' and Madloch & Subnode's 'Club Del Ocio'; the latter of which was an ode to the uniquely designed Argentinean club. Rounding out the year was the first installment of remixes for ‘24 Years’, a release which would see Rockka, Dunadry and Mars Monero provide their own renditions of ‘Never Forget’, ‘Frozen’ and ‘Dropped’ respectively. Now, continuing the album’s reimagination process, Sound Avenue invites Kebin Van Reeken, Pedro Sanmartin, Gaspar Aguilera & Manu Pavez and Darper to reshape selections of their choice in their own unique essence.

Founded in 2011 by Belgian DJ and producer https://soundcloud.com/madloch , Sound Avenue is an electronic music label that stands for quality and originality. Borderless in vision, the Belgian imprint has forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. Blurring the boundaries between house and techno, it’s a platform for anyone with an open mind and ears. Having built early momentum on a global scale, the label hosted events across Europe, North Amercia, Argentina and their home country of Belgium. These uniquely branded club nights featured some of the labels core artists (at the time) including Agustin Basulto, Beat Syndrome, Luis Junior, Matias Vila, Nicolas Rada and Sound Process. It set in motion what has been a unique course to musical freedom, pioneering various sonic blueprints over the course of eight years, while maintaining a strong bond  between its loyal and ever expanding fanbase.   

Originally intended to be a stand alone platform, as Sound Avenue experienced unprecedented growth its musical horizons expanded, eventually paving the way for two label subsidiaries in 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds. The former drew influence from Sound Avenue’s early beginnings, showcasing the best in melodic house while the latter dove into the realms of deeper, dubby house and laid back modern techno.   

Now over one hundred releases into their journey, Sound Avenue has continued to flourish through precision, care and well thought out A&R choices. It’s this attention to detail that has allowed the label to work with some of electronic music’s most esteemed artists, such as Budakid, Bachir Salloum & Zone+, Charles Webster, Cosmic Cowboys, Eelke Kleijn, Estroe, Facundo Mohrr, James Teej, Kurt Baggaley, Luis Junior, Martin Roth, Pablo Bolivar, Petar Dundov, PHCK, Powel, Santiago Garcia, Stelios Vassiloudis, Superlounge and Tim Engelhardt. 
 
Sound Avenue carefully curates each release to move their vision forward, building a close-knit family of scene veterans, while nurturing new talents such as Agustin Basulto, Giddyhead, Lucefora and Nicolas Rada. Project MKOFTEN was a covert Department of Defense program developed in conjunction with the CIA. A partner program to MKSEARCH, the goal of MKOFTEN was to "test the behavioral and toxicological effects of certain drugs on animals and humans".

According to author Gordon Thomas' 2007 book, Secrets and Lies, the CIA's Operation Often was also initiated by the chief of the CIA's Technical Services Branch, Dr. Sidney Gottlieb, to "explore the world of black magic" and "harness the forces of darkness and challenge the concept that the inner reaches of the mind are beyond reach". As part of Operation Often, Dr. Gottlieb and other CIA employees visited with and recruited fortune-tellers, palm-readers, clairvoyants, astrologists, mediums, psychics, specialists in demonology, witches and warlocks, Satanists, other occult practitioners, and more.
