After seven years since the last album ''Mindset'', a new album by The Urban District is released under our label called ''Driftbox''. Like the previous one, the main theme of the dub sound is kept but this one is more refined. There is a bit more uplifting sound, more groove is inserted, few short vocals in some tracks and a different atmosphere which we are hearing with more pads and chords merging together. From the first track Driftbox 1 to Driftbox 10 you can hear a full and complete connection between songs.

The album is starting with an ambient reprise dub sound, setting the tone for the next ones that follows. Driftbox 2 plays the introduction track with deep house sound, Driftbox 3 follows the deep house sound and pushing a bit of rhythm, Driftbox 4 and 5 turns in to ambiance of melody and deep feelings, with more pads around and short vocals. Driftbox 6 and 7 comes back again with deep flow and pushing more techno side in Driftbox 8. At Driftbox 9, the ambiance and atmosphere is coming back while Driftbox 10 track plays the same role as first one, but in reverse, that of a closing reprise track.

Since first meeting, Brighton-based songwriter Elle Limebear and instrumentalist-producer Cephas Azariah quickly found common ground in their artistic passions, developing a friendship and going on to collaborate across various musical avenues.

A storyteller at heart, Elle’s music combines her commanding yet ethereal vocals throughout her songs, telling tales to accompany people on their journey through life’s highs and lows, whilst inspiring them to look beyond their current challenges. With over 175 million streams and a Billboard #1, Elle’s music has taken her across the world, accompanied by Cephas Azariah as part of her touring band. Here, their joint efforts during sound-checks began to effortlessly take shape, noticing their natural synergy and curiosity to merge their distinct worlds in a creative space, their new project came to life.

Indian-born, British composer and producer Cephas Azariah returns to Reflections after a string of highly respected singles and EPs, including an ambient rework of Cubicolor's ‘Machine Keys’, from their debut LP on sister label Anjunadeep. Having scored music for Channel 4, PUMA, Soho House and soundtracked dozens of films, Cephas only began to reveal his own compositions in late 2021, embracing the paradox between traditional classical composition and his own cultural roots, he has amassed an outstanding 10 million streams to date.

Intended to soundtrack the everyday, ordinary and mundane moments of life, the pair utilise Elle’s voice as an instrument, exploring textures, range and gentle tones. Laid over the soft foundation of Cephas’ delicate, emotive compositions of twinkling pianos, synths and soaring strings, arranged to serve as a soundtrack and invite people to slow down, to embrace the beauty in our everyday moments.

Founded in 2011 by Belgian DJ and producer https://soundcloud.com/madloch , Sound Avenue is an electronic music label that stands for quality and originality. Borderless in vision, the Belgian imprint has forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. Blurring the boundaries between house and techno, it’s a platform for anyone with an open mind and ears. Having built early momentum on a global scale, the label hosted events across Europe, North Amercia, Argentina and their home country of Belgium. These uniquely branded club nights featured some of the labels core artists (at the time) including Agustin Basulto, Beat Syndrome, Luis Junior, Matias Vila, Nicolas Rada and Sound Process. The former drew influence from Sound Avenue’s early beginnings, showcasing the best in melodic house while the latter dove into the realms of deeper, dubby house and laid back modern techno.   

Now over one hundred releases into their journey, Sound Avenue has continued to flourish through precision, care and well thought out A&R choices. It’s this attention to detail that has allowed the label to work with some of electronic music’s most esteemed artists, such as Budakid, Bachir Salloum & Zone+, Charles Webster, Cosmic Cowboys, Eelke Kleijn, Estroe, Facundo Mohrr, James Teej, Kurt Baggaley, Luis Junior, Martin Roth, Pablo Bolivar, Petar Dundov, PHCK, Powel, Santiago Garcia, Stelios Vassiloudis, Superlounge and Tim Engelhardt. 
 
Sound Avenue carefully curates each release to move their vision forward, building a close-knit family of scene veterans, while nurturing new talents such as Agustin Basulto, Giddyhead, Lucefora and Nicolas Rada.
