Moments

Short songster song about loneliness in the city I wrote 20 years ago.

Now I've given a jazzy feel in 6/4 to the unique strophe which has only chords E & Em, transitioning to 4/4 rhythm towards the unique 'refrain' line, with up to 3 different chords!

All but drums are 'organic' tracks: bass, pocket sax, guitars and voice.

Grand opus version of "Black Rain",  recorded in one take with just a couple of overdubs, this was originally written in 1990 for our band of the time  (also Black Rain)now given the updated Mental Straights treatment. This is a song about how we should be going forward but so often live in the past, without considering the future. Something funny in the tin. Some learnin' up to do , coz mother earth will bite back. Greetings to all, many thanks indeed to all our supporters, very much appreciated thankyou.!!! Captain Mental, Sgt. The Air. Thin and heavenly fresh .... or heavy supplying you with geoengineering chemtrails. Something we can't do without..... Two and a half minutes of intro? Why not! Stay inspired! Inspiration is what we need as air :)

The first track where I was using my Moog Subsequent 37 CV for real :) Tweaking filter and knobs, enjoying analogue vibe making. Lead synths coming out of the blue is Korg rendition of Odyssey on iPad. Most other sounds designed with Arturia's Prophet, DX-7, MoogMini, ARP2600, Solina, etc. Plus on board Ableton Wavetable synth and Max4Live devices. Mastered in Live 10 with IK Multimedia tools. Cover photo was taken somewhere above Atlantic. Cheers!
