LA-based Kyle Domingo — better known as GUDFELLA — is adept at pairing beats with catchy topline melodies. In this exclusive commentary, the DJ, producer and vocalist discusses his latest project, ‘galleria,’ which sees him collaborate with vocalists including Hayley Mae (“mind + heart”), Cailin Russo (“looking”) and Yung Bae (“pillowtalk”). GUDFELLA challenged himself for the making of “groove4me,” he tells SoundCloud, noting “it has a lot of moving parts.” The track “afties” came about while he and Très Mortimer were waiting for an unnamed rapper who never showed, so they decided to make a beat for themselves instead. “It was the beginning of a true friendship,” he says.
