On her third album, ‘Beneath the Lilypad,’ dream pop singer-songwriter Alexandra Savior finds a new perspective. Working with producer Drew Erickson (Father John Misty, Lana Del Rey), she’s created a dark and moody soundtrack to a life of introspection. In this exclusive commentary, Savior discusses the making of tracks from the album. She explains how “Goodbye, Old Friend” was the North Star for the record, both sonically and thematically, while the track “Old Oregon” is an homage to the place where she grew up.
