Dutch electronic duo Weval have always felt constricted by being called a “dance” group. For their fourth album — ‘Chorophobia,’ meaning “fear of dancing” — they leaned into the irony. In this exclusive commentary, they discuss the album’s themes and the making of key tracks. “MOVING ON” mixes analog and digital synths for a “more brutal sound combined with a very slick chord progression,” the duo tells SoundCloud.
