We are an independent collective of musicians, Dj's, artists and free thinkers from deepest darkest Mid Wales. Some things that we share (amongst others) are a love of music, vinyl and dancing. We are embarking on our first vinyl release of one of our artists tracks and are looking for support from the record shop industry. 

The label is called Brown Note and yes it is a reference to the Urban Myth where if you take a Bass frequency low enough you can, well, you get my drift... We love bass, good solid punchy bass lines and rhythms that gets the air moving and dancefloors grooving. Also as Renegade Soundwave once said 'Women respond to Bass'. The name is also a little nod to the legendary record label Blue Note and the many quality releases produced from them over the years. While not trying to compare ourselves in style in any way, the thought that every release will have as much effort, time and talent put into it that this will somehow reflect the quality that the name Blue Note represents. 

Our first artist to be released is Wolfen Technologies an enthusiastic and creative young man from Mid Wales a very talented producer and a good friend. Ever since he has first started giving me tracks of his to listen to I have been enthusing about them and encouraging him to get them released. Realising that this was never going to happen unless I did something about it myself, the project was born and now a year later we are days away from receiving our first shipment of records.

The 2 tracks featured on the vinyl are essentially good summertime vibes  and tech house driven, featuring catchy and eclectic sampling of real instruments. Expect to hear glitchy twists, progressive builds, chonging basslines, and twinkling ecstatic melodies. He incorporates genre bending sounds into his creations such as: Dub, Techno, Breaks and even Psy Trance. The music greets and teases your ear drums with the lush arrangements, interesting sounds and quality production skills that this young man has to offer. Whether you are into; house music, electro, techno or breaks, these tunes take apart all the best elements and put it back together into a summer dancefloor stomper! 


Triple Drop Productions began when three young producers from Wales (UK) first started tinkering about with various pieces of music software. The trio shared enthusiasm for the intricate structures of dub, dubstep, techno, drum and bass, breaks, psytrance and the many other genres which they had the privilege to explore on dance floors across the country. Over time, they self taught themselves the ins and outs of creative music production. Their musical tastes evolved and their ears began manoeuvring through the various areas of style and genre as they experimented. Saxon Higgs, the founder of the label began his project, Brujo's Bowl. His experience in building this project, along with working for many record labels and events in some of the biggest international underground music scenes inspired him to start Triple Drop Productions. Although the first few releases have been released solely to please the ears of the psychedelic music scene world wide; TDP no longer sets boundaries to any particular style or genre. Whilst keeping this ideal flowing, and not to stagger too much on a random stream of unpredictable foot holes. The focus tends to drift comfortably through the deepest locations of the mind, body and soul. Minimal intelligent bass music and downtempo with a psychedelic, quirky edge; as eclectic and intuitive as can be made possible with the production knowledge of the artists. The label sets out to move, relax, inspire and set the anticipation receptors blinking along this intriguing direction in to the sonic spectrum.
