The MAS-49 Designed Sound captures the clear, sharp report of the French semi-automatic rifle introduced in the late 1940s. Developed by Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne, the MAS-49 fires the 7.5×54mm French cartridge and uses a gas-operated, tilting-bolt mechanism. Its detachable 10-round magazine and semi-automatic action offered French infantry improved firepower and faster follow-up shots compared to traditional bolt-action rifles. The rifle features a solid wooden stock and a simple, reliable design optimized for ease of use and maintenance. Widely used in post-WWII conflicts such as the Indochina and Algerian wars, the MAS-49 proved effective in diverse combat environments. Its mechanical cycling produces a distinctive sound, characterized by crisp bolt movements and a controlled firing report.

The MAS-49 Designed sound demonstration uses 5 random “OneShot” sounds for close distance. After that, you hear the reload sound.
