The PPS-43 Designed Sound captures the iconic audio of the Soviet PPS-43 submachine gun. This compact weapon was developed during World War II for close-quarters combat. It was originally made for tank crews and support units. Soldiers quickly adopted it thanks to its simplicity, low cost, and reliability. The PPS-43 fires the 7.62×25mm Tokarev cartridge. It performs well in urban warfare and dense terrain. The folding metal stock and stamped steel receiver make it lightweight and easy to produce. Today, the PPS-43 remains a symbol of WWII Soviet infantry and is still in limited use around the world.

The sound demonstration starts with three combined layers: “Start”, “Loop” and “End”. Then it plays four randomized “OneShot” sounds for close-distance fire. After that, you hear the reload sound. Next in the same demo, you hear the distant sounds. These include “Dist_Start”, “Dist_Loop” and “Dist_End” layers, followed by four random “Dist_OneShot” variations.
