What’s 2 m tall, lives Behind the Iron Curtain, has 1605 reasons to run an awesome label, and flies? Meet UMEK, a techno legend from Slovenia.

UMEK is personally responsible for kickstarting the electronic music scene in his home country by first organizing illegal raves and then becoming one of Slovenia’s most wanted export products and the number one music ambassador to the whole world.

And he does fly! Around 100 times per year, visiting almost every continent each year. His gig diary ranges from dark underground clubs in Berlin to massive techno stages at the world’s most renowned festivals. 

Apart from making his name in the DJ booth, he’s also a tireless producer. He mostly releases on his own imprint 1605, and most of his tracks end up on the very top of Beatport’s charts. After more than 25 years as a professional musician, he decided to use his experience and skills in the entrepreneurial world. Together with his managers, he founded a music-tech startup Viberate (www.viberate.com), where they are building the world’s greatest music platform.

Still in his early twenties, Tya had the possibilities to get influenced by a wide musical backround. After gaining his first experiences in the northern Italian electronic music scene in the age of 17, he moved to Germany in 2011.
Since he found his new home & musical basement in the area of Mannheim, Tya developed his skills and formed his own remarkable style to perform.
Tya is working hard to advance his producing abilities and his first published productions were recognized by a wide audience.
Up to now, Tya became a regional constant and already played with the big ones.
Future looks bright for this ambitious guy and high expectations push him forward.

Vassilis Pallas a.k.a. V.sexion was born in the late 80’s, in a decade that techno and house put its little stone to the music world. In early childhood, Vassilis found himself shaking in disco tunes moving it up to punk and rock. But it was jazz, afro beats, garage house and urban music that finally deeply influenced him in his developing a particular music style.

  In his adolescence, when a music wave called techno burst into Athenian club scene, V got interested in mixing up his influences along with techno and house. It was later on though, that met Ntanos who became his best friend and together established “Effections”,a promising duo that experimented with electronical sound trying to find a very special identity that would make them distinguish. Indeed, during 2006, they started spinning records at several clubs and bars in Greece,their very own country.

  V.Sexion's music overpasses House and Techno borders combining jazzy and funky tunes, embracing minimal house with techno noises and dark atmospheres and giving away that solid groove essence with deep bass lines, rolling percussions and looped groovy vocals.


VIDAB is a recordlabel based in Berlin that cares for electronic-dance-music. It was founded by Oliver Deutschmann and Stephan Hill as a platform to express their idea of timeless clubmusic.
