William is an eclectic, eccentric, and electronic musician from the NW Indiana/ Chicago-land area. William draws influence from a variety sources that include Downtempo, IDM, Ambient, Dream Pop, Lo-Fi, Trip Hop, Soundtrack, New Age, Video Games, Electronic Rock, Art Rock and Progressive Rock.

William came up from working class roots and still exists there, and yet, William’s music both transcends and embraces this history for better or worse. 

At times like an aging philosopher, at other’s belligerent and dumb. Either way, one thing William is not… is boring.

Either way, my Soundcloud page is a great way to hear what I am working on MONTHS in advance of when it may be released on other platforms. In fact, there's stuff here that isn't anywhere else as they just didn't fit the vision of my current releases. 
So.... if you hear a track and it isn't on one the pinned albums, e.p.'s, or singles, chances are it's still being worked on and/or being considered for future release. Feel free to leave a comment of praise or constructive criticism. You may get to play a small part in the creative vision of my future releases. :-)

I'm a British-American Electronic musician by the name of Nathan who currently lives in the Pacific NW. ... Sometimes I take extended Social Media breaks for my sanity. Lol! 😅 ... So if I ever miss responding to a comment or returning a follow, it's only because it's hard catching up when I've been gone a month.

I play vintage synths which I've had for decades(because new ones are expensive. Lol!), but in the last couple of years I've been working much more with DAWs (which is awesome because my fingers don't work as well as they used to), with the occasional flourish from my aging synths.

I'm influenced by all varieties of electronic and electronic-adjacent music from 1960s/70s - 2020s, not to mention a bit of Prog and Metal, and Jazz Fusion. 

My focus tends to be on Trance, Ambient, Synthwave, EDM, Synthpop, EBM, Industrial, Darkwave, Futurepop, and the occasional hint of Jazz Fusion. (Sometimes all in the same track).

That's what happens when you're hooked by the Doctor Who Theme at a young age. ;-)  

I'm not always entirely sure which subgenres many my tracks are closest to, So I try to pick the broadest and most dominant one for the main tag. The first row of tags are the other ones I reckon they're closest to, and the rest are an assortment of other related tags, some closer than others.
