After Egal 3 made sweet EP “The Shades” for SOV001, he is coming back to us again with even stronger tracks for our 6th releases, we are very happy to have him back in our Vast family.

A1 “Altfelnu” is starting with strong beat and deep/dubby bass line, then what makes different is kicking piano melody in the middle at unexpected moment, the combination between deep bass and piano is just perfect.

B1 “Sidebyside” is the track made by just analogue gears, Egal 3 emphasized, you can feel the deep and tight groove made by analogue drum machine and modular synth, this full analogue groove is for sure working on the floor, touch people’s ears and heart.

As we are going for the direction under the name of “emotional houses”, those Egal 3’s new tracks are on the right product for us to keep Vast’s color while keeping his identity.
Indeed, this EP going to be weapon for both of you who “the house head” and “the minimal head”.

Adham Zahran stands out as one of the most consistent producers in the underground deep house scene. Hailing from Cairo, Egypt, his sound draws influence from across the globe—particularly Detroit house, electro, and techno, which is evident in his analog-driven production style.

His EP "Nature" marks the 43rd release on the FRI catalogue. It's a four-track journey into atmospheric, analog-rich deep house, with warm textures anlush, 
layered pads forming the foundation of each cut. 

"Radio Signal" is an driving 808 rhythm and nods to electro track, powered by an irresistible analog funk bassline, slashing saw wave chords, and sci-fi textures.

Sitting in the space between digital dub and synth-pop, with nods to Spectral Display and Primal Scream’s Simone Marie on vocal duty.

There once was a Bug who was Golden and bright, Who lived in La Belle Records by day and by night,
With Simone Marie (who plays bass, don’t you see), They danced ’round a digital dub-a-dub tree.

“Oh Piscolabis!” cried the Bug with glee, “Let’s craft something strange ‘tween Milan and the sea!
We’ll mix synth-pop sounds with a spectral display, And premiere our tune on October the day!”

Max Blum and Kim Giani came hopping along, With sonic UFOs and a dub-a-dub song,
They twirled and they whirled in their Belle-ish delight, At La Boule Noire on a Froid Dub-ish night.

The Golden Bug giggled, “How perfectly queer! Our NoLo will drift in its own sonic sphere!”
And off they all sailed in their musical boat, While anniversary editions began to float.

We’re premiering “NoLo,” a new track from the upcoming anniversary edition of Golden Bug’s Piscolabis II, out October 3rd via La Belle Records. The track features Simone Marie, known as the bassist for Primal Scream and The Jesus and Mary Chain, lending her voice to the collaboration.

Working with longtime collaborators Max Blum and Kim Giani, Golden Bug crafted something that sits between digital dub and synth-pop, with nods to Spectral Display, with Marie’s vocals forming the emotional centre.

“I’ve always been a fan of Simone’s unique musical universe but what brought us together this time wasn’t one of her cosmic basslines — it was her voice. A rare and soulful voice, one that seems to carry a thousand stories in a single note. It became the foundation of the entire track. As with many of my tracks, this one was born from a beautiful encounter — I started this track between Milan and Barcelona, and the vocals were recorded in London by Simone Marie.” Antoine aka Mr Golden Bug

The A-side opens with the title track: spacious arpeggios and dreamy textures create a soundscape that invites you to get lost in the music, a tribute to the carefree spirit of the ’90s. "Techla" follows with a more minimal, introspective vibe. Its hypnotic bassline feels like a journey into the unknown.

The B-side starts with "Somo", a bright and catchy track full of sunny melodies and feel-good energy, evoking Italo disco moods. Finally, "Flusso Libero" closes the EP with elegance and depth. The Hardway Bros went outre-mer, To seek Mamman Brigitte so fair,
With pockets full of tree frog songs, And voodoo drums and silken thongs.

They sailed beyond the infinite sky, Where Mari Galante’s beauties lie,
Through heat and rain and humid air, They combed the island everywhere.

“Oh Mamman Brigitte!” came their cry, “We’ve brought you frogs that never die!
They sing at night, they sing at noon, They sing beneath the heavy moon!”

But she just laughed a laugh so wide, And vanished with the turning tide,
And left the Bros to stand and stare, At sea and sky and humid air.

Now Hardway Bros play cards with frogs, And sleep on very uncomfortable logs,
While somewhere near the outre-mer, Mamman Brigitte is drinking beer.

The latest Hardway Bros EP is a result of some recent downtime in Mari Galante:

According with the mythology of Agharo, the spirit of every being lives in the stars. And so when the body dies, the spirit returns to the stars where it belongs. The soul is then the constellation formed by the stars every being has.

This structure of constellation, however, isn’t two-dimensional as in western astronomy; in Aibana each star is intimately connected with every other star within the constellation and within them runs the will of the spirit and its fate. The stronger the structure of Aibana, the stronger the spirit.

These cards speak of the individual — of our self in relation with the self. Or our spirit and our soul. Of that which is behind all masks, our true self and our true fears. How did the meaning of the tarot card inspire the journey of this mix?

I was appealed by the ‘confidence’ aspect of it.
I really played the tracks I wanted to hear myself without thinking about anything else. Sometimes you might overthink a mix - especially one recorded at home one. But in this case I really went with the flow and eveything seems ‘fated’ to happen this way.

Leeds imprint Paisley Dark has carved out a reputation for psychedelic chug and shadowy late-night burners, and their latest signing fits right in. Enigmatic newcomer Viper Patrol makes a bold entrance with two originals that are heavy on the acid, low-slung in tempo, and dripping with afterhours intent.
Dancing Voices spirals through mesmeric acid lines and hypnotic percussion, the kind of track that slowly works its way under the skin until the floor is fully locked. Def Charge follows suit with darker propulsion, a driving chug wrapped in trippy, psychedelic textures.
The remix package brings serious weight. Cosmikuro ramps up the 303 pressure, delivering a heads-down workout that’s tailor-made for ALFOS devotees.
