Bloom Loops

Sabla is a project born and raised in Turin, devotely committed to the study of hypnotic sounds and polyrhythmics.  He’s co-founder of Gang of Ducks, a collective which takes care of music releases, editorial issues and art projects. 

He has released two Ep,  Spirits on Gang Of Ducks and DanzaGuida on Dont’dj’ DISK.  He also appeared on compilation on Amsterdam’s Knekheluis, Bristol Normcore and Hivern Discs.
 
In November 2021 he has released his first album, Music for Melted Floors, on Pensaments Sònics, a new project run by the team of Hivern Discs.

"It's been quite some years since I wanted to record a mix based on Muslimgauze-only tracks so I took a podcast invitation from Electric Shapes as a chance to finally do it.

I dug in around 60 of the over 90 albums recorded by Bryans Jones over his 16 years of activity and went into the rabbit hole of his insane discography.

I realized that there could really be hundreds of directions you can take by doing a mix right in his records, this is one of them. Hope you’ll enjoy the journey."

Another traverse from quiet, beatless and spacey soundscapes, into deeper and pumpin’. Pack you cagoule, and have a wander. 

Recorded in the studio on a pair of beaten up CDJs and a well used mixer.

Originary from Romania but residing in Denmark, Tight Cherry is a talented lady who spins the decks, an interesting character with wide selections and style. Curator of the Music for Astral Travel playlist, Tight Cherry brings the listeners into a deep and fluid state of mind with her carefully selected ambient and experimental gems. This time she puts together a special music trip drawing from her collection of 90s ambient and electronic music records.

Now based in London, Lynne brings a truly unique and individual sound to her mixes, weaving together the outer realms of techno, experimental dance music, and drum 'n' bass with textural layers that twist together genres and pull dancers in all the right directions.

This hour-long recording seamlessly blends experimental soundscapes, with steppy 140bpm groovers. With unpredictable breaks and evolving soundscapes, listeners are invited to reflect, move, and lose themselves in the quiet beauty of autumn’s final days. A celebration of the most vibrant spring in recent memory. 

A lucid dream-like journey, recorded beside a stream in the beauty of the Calder Valley. Resident of ambient leaning artistic collective 'resonance', adam presents a glimpse of resonance in West Yorkshire for our springtime Bloom Loops sonic journey. 

Beside a quiet and peaceful spring between Todmorden and Hebden Bridge, adam has incorporated field recordings of 'the pond', blending these with a selection of deep listening ambient tracks, and otherworldly field recordings of springtime. The running waters of the valley, the birds, bees, and a bunch of friends.

adam is a key member of the resonance crew - a network of gifted souls who produce journeys between light, sound, and setting with their local community as well as showcasing the gifted artisans and the magic of the valley to events further afield, most recently in London and Manchester.

For this special edition of the Bloom Loops podcast, we're honoured to welcome Ario — founder and curator of the acclaimed Astral Industries label. Widely respected for its impeccable curation and timeless releases, Astral Industries has carved out a unique space in the world of ambient and experimental electronic music, with each release offering a meticulously crafted sonic journey.

In this recording, Ario brings that same curatorial sensibility to the decks, guiding us on a deep and expansive journey. It begins with a psychedelic abduction to another world, and as the mix gradually unfolds you emerge into an expansive world of progressive and vintage tech house before dissolving into deep, swirling tribal techno. True to Ario's refined aesthetic, it is a set that balances both introspection and propulsion. 

Recorded in Hong Kong, at a secret location, this mix is a teaser for the upcoming Rebloom event on Saturday 17th May—where Ario will return to the Rebloom booth for our birthday celebrations, with a special closing set.
