Today we're releasing the last mix of the Guest Series' season 2... 
So for this occasion, not the least: Welcome @vilmusic.

Nuno Costa began his ventures into electronic music in 2008 with his Sinner moniker, with which he created Warface, a local crew and events promoter focused on Dubstep, Drum’ N’ Bass, and UK Garage.       

VIL’s refined taste and set building ability has already earned him a place at some of the best clubs in the country, which includes Lux Frágil, Gare, and Ministerium. He's also regularly present at many festivals across the country as well. 

Fast forward to 2018, alongside Portugueses artists @temudo and Menosdois, he creates @hayescollective, a platform focused on showcasing the distinct output of its artists through prestigious vinyl and digital releases. Already counting with four vinyl releases since its inception, their music has already been played by some of the biggest artists in the scene.

Smart groove dealer as a DJ but also as a producer, as he recently proved it with his release on @klockworksofficial alongside @cravomusic, VIL offers us a 1h tough mix of pure and groovy Techno, and closes this season properly.

Heavily influenced by electronic music from late 90s to early 00s sounds and drawn to the harsh beats of British Techno the Spaniard first started his project P.E.A.R.L. back in 2007. After strong releases on labels like PoleGroup, Mord Records, KAOS and many more he founded his own label "Falling Ethics" five years later and released his game-changing debut album "Temptation through Impatience". After unleashing a string of hard-hitting tracks since then P.E.A.R.L. is far from finished contributing his unique and driving productions to the scene.
As a performer he is an excellent selector in the dj booth, combining the pulse of pounding grooves in a very eclectic way, always making his sets an unexpected journey. Enjoy!

Sounds From NoWhere is pleased to premiere a new Gotshell' gem on 'Axis'.
Sound helps to understand the universe and how to store information. Pythagoras and his followers thought that there are “numerical relationships between the orbits of the planets or between other things of nature” and that the stars would move with the so-called “harmony of the spheres”. 
An idea that inspired astronomers during centuries. On the other hand, they mathematized and gave rise to Western music theory, which was taught alongside astronomy and mathematics, building a bridge between art and science.

From here the special interest of Westerner Cristian Alexander Soto Lopez aka Gotshell emerged. 
He tried to understand mathematics a little more and developed a personal taste, both in school and in his brief time at university, where he learned that a simple number can act in synchrony as even numbers do and totally randomly. 
Starting in 2010, Gotshell made his first creations after 5 years of experimenting. 
He knew the relationship between mathematics, sound and the universe which lead him into the production of his EP „Physics“ on Nachtstrom which showed an emulation strident of what could be the future sound of universe. He brought his spatial sound based on mathematics and arithmetic also to important labels like Planet Rhythm, Blueprint, BPitch, MORD, Synewave. 
With this new contribution he hopes to collect more information so that he can take himself into space one day, and perhaps be heard by a non-human species.

Groof has been twisting electronic devices through his whole life, more than 30 years to be precise. He was there when techno was founded, he released proper techno when nobody had any interest, back in the early nineties. The uncertain days of the pandemic supposed an injection of time in his busy teacher agenda and he found spare time to develop intelligent dancefloor weapons again.
 
Some of those works catch our attention immediately and the result is this extended digital EP, comprising 6 pure exercises of timeless techno.
 
Information Disorder opens fire with crazy metallic Fm sequences floating over a sharp and minimal beat that grows progressively as minutes go by. Direct and obsessive.
 
Inoculate is fast and metallic too, with panned industrial hits spicing a continuous sequence that keeps the flow nicely. No breakdowns, No obvious twists, hypnosis as a tool.
 
On Online Propaganda the pulse is kept high this time using shuffled percussive sequences over a traditional 909 groove. Minimal but quite effective when properly used.
 
Dystopian Future Now starts with no mercy, almost every component up since the starting point with an occasional hi-hat coming in and out wisely. Dense and dark but super dynamic at the same time.
 
Salto uses the capabilities of the stereo field in full potential, again with a minimalistic approach using a few elements constantly mutating over a lineal and abstract arrangement.
 
The release closes in an epic vein with the precious and floaty Cambios. Immensely reverberated pads going along a broken beat ideal to bring soul to a dirty techno set or close an open-air location at dawn.

Brand new EP from the boss showcasing his new perspective and vision about techno along five cuts. Oscar Mulero’s sound it’s always changing and evolving, it can be physical and muscular or deep and sci-fi or both at the same time as this record shows.


On this occasion spanish titles explain the feeling of each track perfectly, Flujo Fatal is the first slice, Fatal Flow in english, a mental and deep voyage into intelligent techno: full of detail but with an energetic pulse below that activates the dance while the mind is traveling in unveiled territories.


Nueva y Oscura Era is the second cut, fast and obsessive, with detailed percussive elements crossing the stereo field while continuous synth lines run over the precise beat. An ideal mix tool for the peak time hours in the dancefloor.


Noches de Menta reminds us of the good old Birmingham days, intense, rugged and fast. Minimal in the components and pristine in the sound processing. Music for those who dance with closed eyes in the shadows and strobe lights.


Dos Esqueletos is the last cut on vinyl, an elastic and liquid piece made of shuffled rhythms almost 90% percussive. Perfect mixing tool for those who know.


On the digital release appears an extra track called Aire Silencioso, sibilant and resonant textures fly on the high part of the sound spectrum while a compact groove keeps the pace for a full physical experience. The extreme frequency treatment will cause waves in people's minds while dancing … immersive and expansive at the same time.

Nuevo EP del jefe que muestra su nueva perspectiva y visión sobre el techno a lo largo de cinco cortes. El sonido de Oscar Mulero siempre está cambiando y evolucionando, puede ser físico y musculoso o profundo y de ciencia ficción o ambos a la vez como muestra este disco.


En esta ocasión los títulos en español explican a la perfección el sentimiento de cada track, Flujo Fatal es la primera rebanada, Fatal Flow en inglés, un viaje mental y profundo al techno inteligente: lleno de detalles pero con un pulso enérgico debajo que activa el baile mientras la mente está viajando en territorios desconocidos..


Nueva y Oscura Era es el segundo corte, rápido y obsesivo, con elementos de percusión detallados que cruzan el campo estéreo mientras líneas continuas de sintetizador acompañan el ritmo preciso. Una herramienta de mezcla ideal para las horas clave en la pista de baile.


Noches de Menta nos recuerda los buenos tiempos de Birmingham, intensos, duros y rápidos. Mínimo en los componentes y prístino en el procesamiento de sonido. Música para los que bailan con los ojos cerrados en las sombras y luces estroboscópicas.


Dos Esqueletos es el último corte en vinilo, una pieza elástica y líquida hecha de ritmos muy trabajados con casi un 90% de percusión. Perfecta para combinar en mezclas largas.


En el lanzamiento digital aparece una pista extra llamada Aire Silencioso, texturas sibilantes y resonantes vuelan en la parte alta del espectro de sonido mientras que un ritmo compacto mantiene el ritmo para una experiencia física completa. El tratamiento extremo de las frecuencias excitará las ondas cerebrales en la mente de los danzantes:  inmersivo y expansivo al mismo tiempo.

Scifi maestro Divide is back again in our sound factory providing five fine exercises of scientific and intrincated techno.

The space trip begins with Anamorfosi, totally beatless, with several asymmetrical synth lines running against each other in a complex experiment that serves to introduce what comes next.

Liquidazione goes straight into dancefloor action with a stomping groove with the appropriate dose of distortion with cosmic and rugged sequences running on top spiced with lots of sound design details. 

Isocrono closes A side with a similar sound palette but this time introducing the elements progressively until all action takes place. Obsessive, mental and rude at the same time.

Flipping the vinyl comes Decomposizione, merciless beat, wisely administered distortion and detailed sou8nd design to create a pure mix weapon.

Last cut is Elaborazione, again enforced drums in charge of the groove with sibilant synthesized components filling the stereo field. The arrangement is constantly changing and evolving, surprising the dancer with imprevisible twists.

One more proof of the expertise that this producer showcases on each of his works.
