Sounds of Khemit is an organic house record label and their new release is a stunning mixed artist EP featuring solo tracks by Ary Sya, K2W0 and Winson.

K2W0 is a UK producer from London who loves to travel and whose music takes influence from the different cultures he has experienced. His nomadic tracks can be found on other labels such as Magician On Duty, Kamai Music and KataHaifisch.

Khemit is a culture from ancient Egypt, and this EP is inspired by 'Ankh' which is a profound symbol shaped like a cross, with three arms. One arm on the left, and the other on the right, then a central stem making the third. It's a symbol with positive sentiments such as "I wish you a long and healthy life". Each of the three tracks on this uplifting release represent one of the symbols arms, as the music is intended to spread joy and vitality across the dance floor.

What if you were forced to spend your life on a mostly deserted island in the middle of the ocean? In such a thought experiment, hundreds of impressions come to mind. How would I obtain water and food? Are there wild or dangerous animals on the island, and would I be able to produce or find the necessary tools? Alongside these existential issues, questions about social connections and interactions also come up. Are there other individuals on the island, and if so, would they be friendly towards me? Considering it as a long-term situation, such an island life would likely be challenging to sustain. However, as a short break from everyday life … Nusa by Tim Tenhoff and Ru Yan reminds us of a long-gone and more emotional era of electronic music. The track awakens the desire for a white sandy beach and a starry night. Sipping an ice-cold cocktail at the bar while listening to the waves crashing. A deep conversation and a tear on the cheek perfectly complete the scenario as we walk arm in arm back to our bungalow.
