Electric Jungle

The 2 hour format of this stream is one I've become so accustomed to  over time that I've fallen into some kind of well-worn routine of how I approach filling the time. The downside of that is that when I play IRL gigs and I only have one hour to fill, I have a hard time jumping right into the explosive sound and pacing you need to catch and hold the attention of say, a festival crowd. I've been digging through my collection and building more expansive playlists than I normally would in order to force myself out of my comfort zone and try out different set structures, but also to play the type of energetic tunes I tend to avoid sometimes. Sometimes the experiments work, sometimes they don't, but it's always an entertaining endeavor trying to find out.

It was nice to be back in the saddle for EP 99 of LLL this week. First hour started out on a somewhat airy atmospheric tip into futuristic "sci fi rollers" and some minimal tech stuff. Moving into the second hour we go from minimal to more driving dancefloor tunes. Spacey electro rave vibes make way for some chopped future jungle kinda stuff at the end. Just a bit of everything in this session, but I had a really fun time in the first hour with some soulful and hip hop/R&B infused vibes before things get a little darker and more driving with some sci-tech and vocal rollers. Beginning of the 2nd hour goes a bit into big room electro dancefloor territory before dipping back down into more minimal tech rollers and then into deeper liquid for the outro section.
