Guest Mix Vol. 113 (Da Tu - Heart Twice) Live Drum and Bass Session

Very enjoyable Twitch session with the core LLL fam reppin in the chat, plus a couple of new listeners and followers in the mix. I started off on a minimal liquid tip with some vibey vocal numbers, brought the energy up kinda quick to get the chatroom jumping with some technical rollers around 45 minutes and then settled into a minimal tech groove for the majority of the second hour. Rounded things off with some sci-fi liquid rollers into some deep soulful stuff at the end before we raided into my friend Daddydough's stream.

DRUM N BASS SHOW ON GLR 20/8/22

Obsessed with music since he was a little kid, Lopet from Nürnberg eventually found his musical sanctuary in Drum&Bass in 2008 after being influenced by Hip Hop and Punkrock in his teenage days. After getting into the sounds of labels such as Hospital and Liquicity he found anything BASS-heavy being essential to his taste and to the genre as such. He made his first DJ-mixes in 2013 which caught the attention of fellow DJ Flowsen from Würzburg. Shortly after he gave Lopet his first gig as a support act for Med School’s Keeno which is still one of his favourite DJ moments to this day. This also led him to become a part of the local Soulmotion Crew which regularly hosts events with headliners such as Etherwood, Hybrid Minds, Pendulum and Mike Romeo to name but a few.
His ongoing passion for the music was spurred on further after his first visit to the well-known international Drum&Bass-festival „Sun & Bass“ in Sardinia where he got to delve deeper into the art of DJing and met loads of new people, leading to his first gig abroad in Bristol alongside Keeno.
In 2017 he started his weekly radioshow and respective podcast „Soulcast“ which resulted in local oldschool DJs Tobestar and Sinnamix inviting Lopet to co-host their „Selekta Dance Different Radio“, probably the most famous live D&B-radioshow in Southern Germany. In his shows and podcasts, Lopet always likes to feature a broad range of the music he loves so much, with the ethos of it being „Get your soul in motion“: Rolling percussion, widescreen soundscapes and playful, bouncy basslines.

Bern Bass Podcast 90 - Lopet (September 2022)

This was a fun Twitch sesh with the LLL chat crew. My boy @metapattern raided in early on after his epic first stream from his newly set up home studio. I eased into things with some deep and melodic jazzy lead-in tunes before moving on to some energetic and rolling feelgood fare. Dipped down to a darker vibe for some machine soul at the end of the first hour. Brought the energy up in the 2nd hour for a bit of a rolling  tech party vibe before dropping back down into soulful territory at the end. Overall I was pleased with the arc of the set; might have flubbed a couple of mixes where the energy didn't quite match from track to track, but perhaps I'm being too self-critical(as always). I really enjoyed my time on the stream. Big up to the homies coming thru with all the bits and channel subs. Your continued support def keeps me engaged.
