Deersky’s Soundteller Records returns this week showcasing Oliver Lieb’s ‘Caldera’ in the latest instalment of their edition series.

Originally released in January of 2014 as part of the ‘Dark Energy’ EP, it marked the German artist’s debut on Proton Music where he has now gone on to appear an additional eight times. Soundteller Records now breathes new life into the track by inviting Michael A and Subandrio to provide their own unique takes for 2017.

Making his eighth appearance on the label Michael A is first up and injects some warmth into Oliver’s pristinely produced original. The Genesis Music label boss works a vocal chant over his progressive minded groove while sizzling electronics fire through the framework. It makes for an amazing first act before ethereal drifts carry nicely into the break. Tension filled symphonics highlight the brief but highly effective centerpiece before slowly washing away as the groove drops leading to a powerful third act. No doubt one of Michael’s best ever remixes and nicely geared for primetime play.

The release concludes with Sudandrio making his fifth appearance on the label following a remix of Scotty A’s ‘Lost In Translation’ from June of last year. The Sri Lankan is one of many artists leading the new wave of progressive music and he has continued to earn praise from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Cid Inc. Here he delivers something absolutely monstrous with electric vibes running through the entire production. There are few better at creating sonic storyboards powered with fresh effects and that’s certainly a prevalent theme here. The rhythmic core is full of bounce and drive making it high on the dance floor sensibility scale but it’s the cosmic nature of the mix which is most appealing. This is one you’ll want to listen to again and again and one your dance floor will certainly remember long after the night is over. Huge remix from Subandrio and a another great remix showcase from Soundteller Records. Highly Recommended.

With this release, straight from Argentina, Federico Monachesi comes back to the label after a year break with a new outstanding original set in a prog tech atmosphere. The original is accompanied by the music of truly gifted artists that have recently released music on Hope Recordings. The first remix is made by a talented Sri Lankan producer, Dimuth K, who's making his debut on the label. He cooked a lovely deep progressive track with an euphoric melody that will surely catch you. The second interpretation is made by Berni Turletti, reappearing on the label after almost a year. His track's got a dreamy, driving progressive soul. Check it out!

Cazap & Boskis return to Deersky’s Soundteller Records for a first time collaboration with Niko Rizzo. Hailing from Buenos Aires, the Argentinean duo first appeared on the Polish imprint in October of last year with a contribution to the label’s ADE 2018 Sampler. A standout on the collection, ‘Before Paris’ then went on to be selected by label as part of their prestigious ‘Best of 2018’ compilation to round out the year. Now returning to the label for their first single, Cazap & Boskis join forces with Niko Rizzo for ‘Personal Space’ alongside a remix from progressive house star Black 8′.

The original mix comes in with a smooth and shimmering progressive house sensibility. Groovy and grandiose at points, it’s a composition which balances highly rhythmic bookends with a stunningly gorgeous centrepiece. From deeper, almost meditative beginnings the warm, chugging groove lays the foundation for timely percussive splashes, brilliant tonal motifs and sensory saturating sweeps. The build into the second act is methodical, as layer after layer of atmospheric colour gives way to subtle but poignant modulation and symphonic chord changes, for a highly memorable dance floor moment.

The lone interpretation of ‘Personal Space’ is provided by Black 8 who makes his label debut. Based in Cairo, the Egyptian artist has long been a favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. His progressive minded sound has been showcased on some of the genre’s most trusted imprints such as Hope Recordings, Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden. Now following a remix for Afterglow and a contribution to Hernan Cattaneo’s ‘Sunset Strip’ Balance compilation, Black 8 debuts on Soundteller with an amazing interpretation of ‘Personal Space’. Exotic drums and a warm, humming low end immediately grab your attention, before you’re effortless taken away into a wall of melody and colour. Staying true to the main theme of the original, Black 8 captures those nostalgic feelings during the main break, before a timely roll and underlying drum flurry transfers energy into a percussive finale. A brilliant remix from Black 8 who makes his Soundteller debut a memorable one. It rounds out another on the money release for the Polish imprint, perhaps one of their most emotive all year in fact. Highly recommended.

Golan Zocher & Choopie - Inception (Original Mix)

Deersky’s Soundteller Records continues a strong fourth quarter by showcasing new interpretations of ‘Disorder’ by Juan Deminicis. Released on the label in May of this year it saw the Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J favourite crafting a deep and hypnotic progressive house cut, with remixes being turned in by two of the genre’s top stars in Andrea Cassino and Matias Chilano. Now as the year winds to a close Soundteller revisits the track with new interpretations form Subandrio and Hole Box.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of ‘Disorder’ is Subandrio. Having first appeared on the Polish imprint in February of 2016, the Sri Lankan artist also lays claim to releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc’s Replug Records. Now providing his sixth remix for Soundteller, the Colombo resident opts for a more peak time interpretation, resulting in a great complement to the original. The darker shades and tones remain but with electric lines and crunchy rhythms, the message is conveyed in a more profound manner. Quirky hooks and waves of mind bending effects make for a massive first act, before eventually stripping down for a musically inspired break and huge crescendo. Another massive remix from Subandrio.

The release concludes with Hole Box returning to the label for the second and final interpretation of ‘Disorder’. The Mexican artist debuted on the label in April of this year with his ‘Alone’ EP while also notching releases on Dear Deer, Massive Harmony and Stripped Recordings. Now providing his first remix for Soundteller Hole Box takes ‘Disorder’ into deeper territory. A warm, reshaped groove adds more of a fluid vibe while exotic drums and dubbed out tones fill in the framework. A tranquil arp makes for a smooth hypnotic feel but it’s percussive strength keeps the narrative quite lively. Perhaps the most poignant moment comes as glowing pads descend over the framework, transferring energy into the break before smooth chord changes initiate a purring finale. A lovely complement to both the original and Subandrio’s interpretation, making for a brilliant remix edition for Juan Deminicis’ ‘Disorder’ and Soundteller Records.
