Global Underground has become one of our favorite labels ever since we got our hands on the Deep Dish Toronto #025 CD in 2003. 
After this one our GU CD's quickly expanded with amazing sets by Nick Warren, Satoshi Tomie, Danny Howells and many others top dj's.
So it was obvious to us that the opportunity to make a remix for GU of a classic and timeless track like "Mexico can wait" is one we can't resist!

This track will be released via Cosmopolitan Flavour. The labels exclusive compilation series ‚Flavourites‘ has frequent artists put together their favorites tracks released form the label’s catalogue but with a nice exclusive addition. Volume 2 is compiled by SOUNOM & Sagou who have put together a distinguished collection of tracks and a full mix.

ARTIST:Sounom & Sagou

Dutch based producers Sounom and Sagou, began their musical career over two decades ago playing the local clubs and festivals. They are well known for their groovy sessions with a fine mix of progressive, tech-house and a slight touch of techno. 

Releasing their first tracks in the year 2009 they instantly established themselves with the classic tune 'Berlin Ohne Alles' and a smashing bootleg of the track 'The XX -Fantasy'. With numerous releases on several labels like Manual Music, Cinematique, Cosmopolitan Flavour and Baroque Records they've proven to be a constant factor in modern-day Electronic music. After playing festivals in Holland like Dance Valley, Loveland and Sneakerz, they focused on more international stages and for the last few years they are mainly active in Germany and Spain/Ibiza. 

Releases are supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Jamie Stevens, Gai Barone, Paul Hazendonk, Woody van Eyden, East Cafe and many more. Nowadays these 'brothers in music' are playing their music on HeavensGate Deep [www.di.fm] on a regular base as monthly residents. 

With boundless energy and dedication their style keeps on evolving rapidly, so try to keep up with this vigorous duo!

In the autumn of 2009 a good friend of Sagou gave him for his birthday a by that time unknown album with a very remarkable cover; a big white X on a black background. It was the debut album by English Indie Pop band ‘The XX’. 

Immediately after the needle touched the vinyl Sagou fell in love with the melancholic, intimate sound which combined influences of the genres R&B, Rock, Electronica and even punk. 
Especially the deep organic bass line and the dark atmosphere of the track ‘Fantasy’ made such an impression that now, ten years later, Sounom & Sagou made a remix of it with the same warmth and emotions as the original but with a driving groove and extra moody elements added so the beauty of ‘Fantasy’ now also can be enjoyed on the dance floor.

With some strong releases already under their belt this year on labels like Modern Agenda and Cinematique and more to come before the end of 2019 on Babiczstyle and Lowbit Records, this Free Download again shows that this duo is on fire lately.

Nice to meet you! We are Sounom and Sagou two dedicated music lovers with a huge passion for melodic techno & progressive house.

Our love for electronic music began 20 years ago when we explored new raves in Holland & Germany. We were thrilled by these new vibes and still are. 

In 2009 we started to make our own productions and releases on Manual Music, Cinematique, Flemcy Music, Or Two Strangers ,Babicz style & Modern Agenda.

For the last couple of years we were monthly residents at the HeavensGate Deep Show on www.di.fm in which we played a one-hour-mix accompanied by a guest mix by dj's like Guy J, Steve Parry, Estroe, Brian CID, BOg, Tripswitch, Stan Kolev, Tim Engelhardt, to name a few.

Our music is supported by Hernan Cattaneo, Miss Melera, Eelke Kleijn, Jamie Stevens, Gai Barone and many others.

We have worked together with the following artists: 
Kamilo Sanclemente, Robert, Babicz. Amber Long, Boss Axis, Golan Zocher, Tim Engelhardt, Danny Lloyd, East Cafe, Paul Hazendonk, Mario Hammer, Juliane Wolf, MR.MNT.

Since December 2018 we have our own show called 'MelodicLab' which is streamable via our Soundcloud. 

If you cannot find us in our studios producing or mixing, you might find us dancing to new cool underground sounds in clubs in Germany or Holland, accompanied by a chilled bottle of Desperados or a shot of tequila Gold, with cinnamon and a slice of orange! We also love traveling to Ibiza where we enjoy the sunny days, tapas and the relaxed vibe!
